Could you link to the song itself? I'm curious now. And what fight was it?

This is the song he's been coming to in his last few fights. I have never watched that movie, but I'll be sure to watch it now.

They should let this fight build. Apparently they've begun talking and it's going "in the right direction".
I seriously don't know why Yvon Michel wants this fight right now, when Artur still needs to add more tools to his game and gain experience.
              But they're protecting Stevenson.
I hope the fight doesn't happen next. Give Beterbiev, Fonfara next and end the year with Stevenson or something. No point in protecting Stevenson anymore.
Well, put it like this: if Beterbiev wins this one, the Michel will hold all the belts at the LHW... If Beterbiev loses at this stage (i.e. with only 9 pro fights), he can immediately rebuild his career at cruiserweight (as he is able to move up easily)... The one who risks much more is Kovalev. I think he would take this fight only if the Russians would pay him handsomely; if not, Kovalev would take the Pascal rematch, which would provide him at least a $3 million purse in Montreal...

Now someone has actually spinned it to Kovalev avoiding Stevenson?

You little twits do hang on to every little thing and just keep hammering it till it sticks, don't you.

There is one simple criteria here in order to know who is ducking who, and that is, WHO IS EASIER TO DEAL WITH NEGOTIATION WISE: The answer is Kovalev.

What does a purse bid have to do with anything anyway? Do two title-holders who want to face each other badly need a purse bid in order to fight? Up until recently, Stevenson has had no urgency to face Kovalev. He would've rather preferred Froch and Bute.
Kov walked away from the purse bid. I didn't make that up. Don't get mad at me for pointing that out.

I am not talking about childish "ducking", I am simply pointing out that in 2014 Stevenson moved away from the fight and in 2015, after requesting to be the mando, Kov pulled out the purse bid, moving away from the fight.

The purse bid was set up because they couldn't reach a deal. Happens all the time. When Russell and Loma couldn't agree they went to a purse bid.

Just direct your anger in the right direction.

                  Now about the 'purse bid'.

First, the promoters of each fighter attempt to compromise the purse amount and split, the TV channel for the fight, a.s.o., until they eventually reach an agreement...
But if no compromise can be reached, then the sanctioning body in charge of the bout (i.e. WBC) eventually calls for a purse bid.

My question for is: do you have a link or whatever which tells that the promoters (i.e Michel in our case) in this case ever entered a negotiation of some sort?
