Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Stevenson ended up with the equivalent of $4m once his share of everything was counted for the Sukhotsky fight (Showtime TV rights, money from live gate, Quebec PPV, Canadian PPV, etc).
Wouldn't surprise me if Stevenson's take on the Bika fight was near $3m, too (CBS TV rights, Canadian cable TV, Australian PPV, piece of the gate, etc), with the same being the case for every other fight he's likely to be in as long as he stays champion.

Not only did that fight not happen now it's basically impossible for the Kovalev fight to happen with Haymon involved. HBO has proven they have no problems making a fight with any rival promoters. Meanwhile Haymon has proved to be the stop gap to many fights and has problems with almost every other major promoter. This is more about Haymon then it is about HBO. Look at the long list of promoters and boxing en****** Haymon doesn't work with or has beef with. Now look at the list for HBO it's just one name. Haymon. They work with everybody else
completely ignoring the fact that Hopkins was pushing for a 75/25 split of all of the money (with the fight likely destined for Montreal and the large majority of the fight revenues coming off of Canadian PPV).

Lets make this fight happen. No reason Stevenson and Kov shouldn't earn the most money possible.

This is the equivalent to me as turning down an offer to play with the Patriots for a little less money, to play with the Jaguars because they offered you 100k more, maybe. That's really what it's coming down to, it isn't like someone is going to offer 3 milion then another network says 10. It's going to nearly a penny or penny bid, what a joke.
Haymon doing his job? Sure, maybe he is but he's killing Stevenson's career. I mean, the only proof you need to see that Haymon does awful at his job is Kovalev. Guy just headlined a show in Vegas no one really came to, but not only did those people pay he'll have a higher rating than Stevenson and be getting paid more in the process. As well as being P4P top 10... What exactly has Haymon done for Stevenson? Lol. Worse ratings and worse pay, Haymon doe.
To try and muddle the argument with your "Showtime and HBO are offering the same money" is hilarious and untrue.

What ground would Haymon have to prevent Stevenson, approaching the age of 38, from making a payday of that much, owing no additional fights to Hyrunov(sp) and giving himself the opportunity to emerge as undisputed/unified light heavyweight champion, with the possibility of future massive paydays? What ground would Duva have to prevent Kovalev from making a payday that's nearly four times what he'd earned for his prior biggest fight?
Stevenson and his camp are looking for the largest payday possible; who in their right mind would duck out on the chance to unify all of the belts and make more money than they'd ever made, ever? GTFOH
