Why do kov fans act like he didn't pull out of the purse bid?

Exactly and Im sure everyone gets it, but fans on here operate with an agenda. This is the biggest fight that can made in the higher weight classes. This is a payday for both fighters so why wouldnt you want to take the fight to the network offering the most money?

The Al Haymon formula, get a belt and just linger around avoiding the threats while getting severely overpaid.

Makes perfect sense. I dont care what channel its on.

          No reason it cant happen.

So many on NSB think Kov wins so i dont see their argument. Kov still gets 50/50 of a bigger purse for those who scream money, more viewership if PBC wins (yes they will get more than HBO), and if he wins he goes back to HBO the "CHAMP" (no he isnt it yet). Win win for everyone.

Its amusing seeing fans forget about that and defending this "JUST FIGHT ON HBO DAMMNIT!" Bringing the fight to whichever network is offering the most money is a NO BRAINER and cant even be disputed really. I cant think of a good counter to Team Stevensons approach.

So you're saying Team Stevenson is ducking, because they want to bring the fight to the network that is offering the most money? Please break this down for me or are you some HBO fanboy? God dont tell me network fanboys is a thing now

This fight was a done deal when it was just Stevenson's management and promoter, Kovalev's management promoter, and HBO negotiating. Once Haymon got involved the fight died. Originally we were told he was passing on that fight to make more money to fight Bernard Hopkins. Not only did that fight not happen now it's basically impossible for the Kovalev fight to happen with Haymon involved. HBO has proven they have no problems making a fight with any rival promoters. Meanwhile Haymon has proved to be the stop gap to many fights and has problems with almost every other major promoter. This is more about Haymon then it is about HBO. Look at the long list of promoters and boxing en****** Haymon doesn't work with or has beef with. Now look at the list for HBO it's just one name. Haymon. They work with everybody else

Haymon's principle - fighters should get paid more money for what they do.
HBO's principle - fighters should get paid less money for what they do.
So why blame HBO for their principle but not to blame Haymon for his principle?
