in PPV fights "guarateed money" comes from PPV buys. What comes on top is a bonus when PPV numbers where higher than ppv expectations

I been following this sport a long time sweetie.
i see a lot of things Floyd had to deal with but look what has GGG to deal with:
      1 GGG is not american
2 His opponent is not american
3 Lemiux isnt even half of a star Gatti was

GGG is the most popular of the 4 fighters. And will be the PPV star of the new era.

The stardom of Ward, Kovalev, and Lemiuex isn't that big of a gap. Their ratings are about what and what HBO. The only difference is Lemiuex brings in Canadian money.
        Do you?

What are Lemiuex's ratings on HBO? He is virtually an unknown compared to Ward, Kovalev and Golovkin.

I agree with those who are saying that Ward vs Kovalev is PPV quality, but Golovkin vs Lemieux is not. As good as he is, Golovkin isn't well enough known to casual fans and Lemieux simply isn't a PPV level fighter even though he is popular. On the other hand, both Ward and Kovalev are bona fide elite fighters.

Andre Ward isn't going to fight Kovalev. That's a suicide mission and he knows that.

i already asnwered your question . its not about his HBO or Showtime ratings but about his countryman wich will pay .He has big ratings on nation tv in Canada. And you dont need to have a membership to watch PPV fights on HBO.
Klitchko who is unwatchable and hasnt fought anybody in 5 years on HBO comes to US and throws 1,9m against Jennings, more than Chavez jr and Golovkin ever had. How?because he had about 10 mil on german nation tv..and a lot of his german fans bought HBO membership just to watch him against jennings

Based on quality, this deserves to be pay per view but I doubt it sells well

Lemiuex did almost 1.2 Million on his HBO debut against Rosado. His numbers aren't that much different than Ward, GGG, and Kovalev.

The difference will be that GGG is bigger star amongst the casuals and Lemieux brings Canadian fans and money.

And auto correct let me down, but you know what I meant lol.

i doubt golovkin and lemieux's combined purse is higher than kovalev and ward's would be. ward won't get out of bed for less than $2m these days and kovalev's highest pay day thus far is more than double golovkin's
