like i said, golovkin is poppin his cherry.
it was clear from day one that HBO were creating GGG as their next PPV star, there you have it.
it's a good thing. only big names next.
i'm not sure what you're falling to understand.
golovkin's first ppv is a unification fight!
not guerrero, not algeri, ortiz, rios. he's unifying the mw division.
when floyd and pac fought the fighters i mentioned above, they were already ESTABLISHED ppv stars.
I think anything over 150k will be considered a win......

And actually the more I'm thinking of GGG's (imo) subpar defense & I do believe Lemieux to have ****** KO power that maybe some interesting **** could go down. Wouldn't bet on it, but who knows.
Still not a fan of this as a PPV, but from a business standpoint I can understand its kinda a no lose situation for them so why not.

this fight is perfect for the GGG haters. They get to spend the next 10 weeks yammering on and on and on about how Lemieux is a scrub and GGG is gonna KO him inside 3, and blah blah blah. Its perfect for them. That way if GGG DOES ice him early, they can say "see, I told you Lemieux was a scrub!!!!", and if they are wrong and its a competitive fight, they can say "see, I told you GGG was overrated, he just went life and death with this hobo Lemieux!!!".
Perfect.

This fight is a mismatch like the rest of GGG's fights, Lemieux is a sloppy come forward fighter with power, who's already been KO'd, that kind of opponent is easy money for GGG,
I don't understand how some of you are calling this fight exciting, how can it be exciting when you know the outcome beforehand?
For those who still don't know it the style to beat GGG is that of a good boxer with movement and good defence, not some sloppy come forward hard punching guy with no chin.
As for the outcome being known beforehand GTFOH with that line - GGG may be a favourite but 95% of the fights made have a favourite. So the outcome is not known with certainty and if ever there was a fighter that typified "he has a puncher's chance" it is Lemieux - that is why it will be exciting.
