I'm not twisting anything bro. I hate Stevenson. He was my 2014 Not Fighter of the Year if anyone remembers. I'm speak up when I see BS that I don't like. Fan boys may not like what I say sometimes and that's OK.

And right now, Kovalev is ducking, we have the most God awful boxing card in HBO tonight, and people are either happy about it or just scared to call their favorite fighter out on crap.

Or if Stevenson fights a phukking SMW like Edwin Rodriguez in his next title defense at LHW, that would be a better fight? In case you forgot, Stevenson just fought another SMW who moved up to face him when he fought Bika. That is the precise action of a ducker man.

as long as he is with duva, he is not going to fight stevenson. presumably to fight elsewhere than hbo, his exclusive contract would have to be bought out. he's legally bound. personally i'd like to see kov hook up with hyrunov and ryabinskiy - the only guys in boxing who can outbid haymon. although then of course haymon might still find a way to dodge the fight, like how he has managed to indefinitely postpone wilder's mandatory defence against povetkin

Yeah, I've been saying this for awhile. Kovalev needs power! Duva is going to ruin his career. He needs to get out of there quick. I'm not sure if they'll sign him, but he's Russian and they have expressed interest in having cards in the States. So why not get Kovalev who already has connections to HBO.
I don't trust Duva at all, I hope Sergey does the best thing for his career. IMO that would be dropping Duva.

The fight couldn't happen because Kovalev is contractually signed to HBO, Adonis does not have a contract with Showtime but he is affiliated with Showtime and obviously PBC. Had it gone to a purse bid no way in hell would duva out-due Haymon. Had it gone to a purse bid and Haymon won, fight would have not happened because Kovalev has a contract with HBO. Only way it would happen is if HBO/Showtime work together same as with May/Pac but no way that would have happened because the fight is not as massive as the May/Pac. Kovalev would thrash Stevenson anyway. Kovalev has a better resume...HBO made Stevenson. Ever since he switched to Haymon he's been fighting unknowns except for Fonfara who gave him a hell of a fight.

Same people who applaud Kovalev for resigning with HBO are the same ones who degrade Stevenson because he walked across the street and got more money from Showtime.. "Real boxing fans" where have they gone? SMH

i actually like duva, but she's small fry and for that reason hbo has her under the thumb. i don't like exclusive tv deals at all, i think it should be against the rules

I agree not the best fights especially not main event caliber. However, Kovalev is required to fight his mandatory (mohammedi) or he will get stripped of the IBF.

Im not saying Kovalev shouldnt fight him. Im not even mad at Kovalev. Im saying its a ****ty fight. Just like Jean Pascal is fighting a can so he can look good enough to sell their rematch. Our favorite fighters have those from time to time, so lets call a spade a spade.

But Stevenson fighting a Bika moving up in weight or potentially Rodriguez moving up in weight aren't "God awful" cards? If that's the case, please explain it to me because it sounds and looks pretty shyte to me.
