If Canelo wins, there is a real chance ODH goes with Canelo/Lemuix because its in house. if cotto wins, there is a real chance of cotto/Floyd rematch. This suggests GGG may not get the fight he wants again.

The issue you keep avoiding is GGG was willing to not pursue the unification dream to go to 168 for froch or Chavez jr. If fighting them wasn't going to derail the unification dream, fighting Ward @ 168 shouldn't either.

So just be an adult an admit what up-Ward might beat GGG and that's why he (aand his fans) do not want them to fight right now. If he loses to Ward, he can still unify.

Like I said, if it gets to that point and the winner of Cotto/Canelo doesn't in fact fight GGG next, then GGG needs to move up. I've made several serious posts on here in recent months saying GGG's team needs to stop BS'ing and move up if they can't get Canelo/Cotto. You've seen those posts. But at this point they've waited so long, the Canelo/Cotto fight is finally going to happen so they should wait until after that.

How long ago was the Chavez Jr potential fight? The lineal title was not a realistic option at that time, and the money on the table for that fight was ridiculous for Golovkin's standards. Wasn't GGG supposed to make a couple million? ( I could be wrong)

Honestly, the fact that GGG would of moved up to fight Froch at 168 and not so much Ward yet at this point is because Froch was an easier fight and his punching bag style would not last very long against Golovkin. So, sure... there was less risk there to ignore the lineal title and move up. I have no problems admitting that (if that's the case) Anyone with a brain knows a Ward fight involves way more risk. There is no doubt Ward would be the best fighter GGG would have faced- he was universally recognized as P4P #2-3 before he dropped out due to inactivity. And the posters I'm about to mention in the next lines are the same ones who act like he's a bum because he wouldn't move up/forget the lineal title to fight the former P4P #2-3 (AKA you SUCK if you can't beat one of the best fighters in the world. The hate is real)

BUT I still feel Golovkin beats Ward , and I've said that forever. And the point of the thread isn't acting like Ward wouldn't be a tough fight for GGG, it is the hypocrisy involving people calling GGG a bum and a duck for not moving up at this point for Ward while waiting for Canelo/Cotto..... but Ward doing the same thing, and not getting any back lash.

You know as well as anybody there is plenty of posters here who just want GGG to lose and can't stand to wait around any longer to watch his profile grow, so they want the fight with Ward ASAP, but they are on the "say nothing and ignore it" level when it comes to Ward moving up for Kovalev.

Golovkin making the "smart business" decision by waiting for Canelo- minimizing risk and maximizing reward before moving up for Ward is the same as Ward doing the exact same thing with GGG before moving up for Kovalev.

Wlad still wants to fight for a few more years. Plenty of time for him to get that work.

      • Of course Ward is scared. Kovalev is a killer! I bet Ward will quickly deploy his flying headbutt style to get under those longass arms of the krusher.

        • I doubt that Ward is afraid of anyone. He has been fighting since he was 9 years old. He is a fighter and a damn good one and has never ducked anyone in his weight class. If he moves to 175 I think he will be willing to fight Kovalev if a fair offer is on the table. Hunter insisted that he would not have Ward fight 175 pounders unless Ward was a true light heavyweight. He should realize that GGG is a small middleweight and should not be asked to come up to 168 to fight the best 168 pounder in the world. GGG haters make a big deal of him being willing to fight Chavez or Froch at 168 but will only go to 164 for Ward. Is anybody ****** enough to think Chavez or even Froch are as good as Ward. GGG knows damn well Ward is better than those two and that's why he won't go all the way up to Ward's perfect weight. Hunter just said Ward won't do that for Kovalev so why ask GGG to do it for Ward. It is similar to Jones fighting Ruiz for the heavyweight title. He could have fought Lewis for the title but he didn't because Lewis was ten times better than Ruiz. If Ward and GGG never fight it's because they are in different weight classes and it's hard to make a fair fight for both fighters. If they never fight each other they are still great champions and the best fighters in the world in their weight class. I can accept that.

Kovalev would have to time him to get him to stop it because Ward gets inside quicker than anyone I can honestly think of.

I don't think Ward deliberately head butts, but he does it a lot because he comes in so quick fighters cant' react.

He didn't at all against Paul Smith because Smith basically sucks and Ward could beat him any way he chose.

Smith came for the check. Guy eats ****ers an mash drinking Stellas for training camp, comes in 4 pounds over the agreed upon weight limit, then comes in at nearly 185 at the second weigh in.

Really have no problem with people shitting on Ward for the comeback fight.

              • KING your wasting your time, these guys don't give a fuq about being fair and being hypocrites.

They want to see GGG lose as soon as possible. They don't think anyone has a chance except Ward so that's why they want the fight right now.

Most of them can't stand the attention GGG is getting and want that **** to end as soon as possible.

they're using examples that anyone with common sense know are non comparable but they just keep posting them anyway, lol.

                      It depends on the opponent.
                      Known puncher=excessive clinching
                      Skilled opponent=headbutts/clinching mix
