Of course the rib injury is "fishy" to you. You're biased.

Castillo had a rib injury, that did not allow him to do the necessary prep for the fight. He failed to make weight.

    The fight took ****ing place.

Did big white letters flash across the screen stating: ATTENTION. CASTILLO DID NOT MAKE WEIGHT THEREFORE THE KNOCKOUT VICTORY IS VOIDED!.

No...you didin't. Because that's an excuse, that nobody tolerates.
Castillo's camp trying to cheat the scales is known and verified. The rib injury was something that was brought up afterwards...by Castillo's camp.

I never said Corrales lost because Castillo didn't have to make weight. I think Castillo would've won anyway, and I think he's a better fighter than Chico, who doesn't have a good chin.

The only thing I'm saying is that when a fighter doesn't have to make weight and the other does, the fighter that doesn't have to gains an edge by not weakening himself. And bringing up their weights on fight night prove NOTHING. Castillo had an advantage in ADDITION to being a more solid, durable fighter to begin with.

Did the majority of expert critics and boxing analysts write off Castillo's victory simply because he didin't make weight?

Did he not recieve a "W" that night against Corrales?
He got the W because it took place. Corrales was dumb to go ahead with the fight and got knocked out. It may end up shortening his career, a big mistake. We'll see if he can right this wrong in the third fight in June. If not, his greed destroyed him. He took the fight for money. I'm a Corrales fan and even I don't agree with the "warriors fight under any circumstances" B.S. He wanted money and it cost him, but Castillo cheated nevertheless.

I never once stated that making weight means nothing.

That's an absurd assumption on people's behalf simply because of the fight in discussion.

You just stated that you have no reason to be arguing...because you picked Castillo to win the fight regardless.

        Explain to me though.

If the rib injury was legit and Castillo was not able to carry out his normal prep work.....who is really at the disadvantage?

        I'd say Castillo.

          Bottom line.

Castillo claimed he had a rib injury and could not do the necessary prep before the fight.....I believe that.

If Castillo fails to make weight in the third fight, I'll lose alot of respect for him.

          That's the truth.

Corrales didnt even use the easy out of he didnt make weight. Look at the post-fight interview with Larry Merchant, he gets proded and proded, into saying that weight was a factor but refused to use that as an excuse. In interviews after the first fight he says that he meant to spit the mouth piece into his glove but that it slipped from his glove. I believe him.

Also even for those who think he did cheat and spit it out on purpose, it is different than what Castillo did. Even if Corrales did that on purpose it was in the heat of the moment and less heinous than someone who plots to cheat and comes into a fight with dishonorable intent.
                  i agree

                    What's the "bull****" part.

                    Fact:

Corrales spit out his mouthpiece and was allowed more time to recover than he really needed in the first fight. I'd say that's pretty damn bad.

                    Fact:

Castillo failed to make weight because of a supposed rib injury, his camp tipped the scale in order to falsify his weight, end of story. Corrales continued on with the fight, he was knocked out and that's that.

If you took both black and white facts and dropped them in water...you'd have grey cool-aid.

Yeah, I put real money on both those fights although withdrew bet after weight controversy of fight 2. I like putting money on fighters I really like because when and if they win I feel like I won to.

Bro, its totally different. Corrales just rehydrated Castillo never really dehydrated so he brought more muscle mass. And hydrating that much 24hours before leaves you in a weaker state than if you had more time or never dehydrated. Also if you train for 140 you will be bigger physcially, all Corrales got back was water weight, Castillo had actual muscle which was never burned out by training for to get to 135lbs.

It is also a disgrace for a PROFESSIONAL fighter to not make weight for a TITLE fight. Emanuel Stuart, any other commentator or even, castillo supporter Chavez expressed there disappointment.
