No joke. Knives, how can you expect people to respect your opinion if you can't even understand the reasoning behind the rules of the sport? Maybe because all your care about is the in-ring wars and seeing people get knocked out. Go watch your bull**** kickboxing and stay out of discussions on this sport.
There are only a handful of people that see eye to eye with you on this issue. 9/10 of them are biased Corrales fans like yourself and "tha_greatest" who will look for any excuse possible. Corrales even made no excuses after the fight....he was cold ****ed...end of story.
Corrales was weight drained....yeah. Castillo also fought with a rib injury and was out of shape coming into the fight. That's an equal trade off.
A guy who does the necessary prep before a fight is in better condition, and Corrales was that person.
He was healthier, heavier, and still got knocked the **** out.
For one, the "rib injury" was fishy.
Do you know anything about how making weight works?
Only those lacking in knowledge claim that weighing a couple more pounds on fight night means you have an advantage when ONE DOESN'T HAVE TO MAKE WEIGHT.
Do you know how big these guys are before they go into camp? And how much they have to starve and dehydrate themselves during the week leading into the weigh-in?
It's hilarious yet pitiful that so-called boxing fans can be this ignorant about the sport they claim to love.

Actually Corrales said he "didn't want to say anything that would take away from Castillo's victory", he didn't say that it didn't affect him.
Those who actually know how making weight work know that Castillo had an edge.
But ultimately it's a moot point since Castillo has a much better chin than Corrales and will probably win again.
Saying Castillo is a better fighter is fine with me. I think he is. But trying to say that Corrales wasn't at a disadvantage because he had to make weight and Castillo didn't, and bringing up the fight night weight as a reason, is ridiculous.
are you kiddin? Chico is the only fighter I could never pick against
Big heart, but a weak chin. But I will never put real cash on Chico. I think he will stop Castilo in the third fight, but I'm only 55% sure. One of them will get knocked out. I hope it's Castilo, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Ok.
That means the only reason Corrales was knocked out...was because he was weight drained, and was at the disadvantage because he didin't have to make weight....right?
Of course the rib injury is "fishy" to you. You're biased.
Castillo had a rib injury, that did not allow him to do the necessary prep for the fight. He failed to make weight.
The fight took ****ing place.
Did big white letters flash across the screen stating: ATTENTION. CASTILLO DID NOT MAKE WEIGHT THEREFORE THE KNOCKOUT VICTORY IS VOIDED!.
No...you didin't. Because that's an excuse, that nobody tolerates.
Fight is over.....Corrales got KTFO....end of story.

funny how you always make statements like this with nothing to back it up. you've got plenty of people in this thread telling you that you make no sense, but you just ignore it. you can't argue for ****. all you do is say, "nobody likes you" or "nobody believes you". WHERE IS THE PROOF? you lost this one already by resorting to those statements, biatch.

before the fight pretty much everyone involved in the sport, including commentators, said Castillo was a disgrace to boxing. even Chavez said it was disgraceful.
exactly. how do you explain Castillo unable to keep Corrales down even in round 10 the first fight but taking him out in the 4th round the second time around? give me a break. weight IS a factor.
Weight is a factor. Even PACMAN said that 2 pounds is a lot of weight to concede.

After the fight.
Did the majority of expert critics and boxing analysts write off Castillo's victory simply because he didin't make weight?
Did he not recieve a "W" that night against Corrales?
