You aren't his personal trainer and I don't know how you make these assumptions. There is no fact that one person dehydrates at the same rate as another person, and you have no clue if the weight was uneccesary....considering Castillo had a supposed rib injury. Almost all of your body weight is water, and there is no way for muscle to atrophize in a three day span.

    This discussion is absolutely ridiculous.

It is also a disgrace for a PROFESSIONAL fighter to not make weight for a TITLE fight. Emanuel Stuart, any other commentator or even, castillo supporter Chavez expressed there disappointment.
    Sure.....dissapointment.

If you took that dissapointment and threw it up in the air, it would dissapear into 1,000,000 meaningless pieces.

Did the dissapointment change the fact Corrales was KTFO?

Did the majority of expert critics and boxing analysts write off Castillo's victory simply because he didin't make weight?

Did he not recieve a "W" that night against Corrales?
did taylor win 2 decisions against hopkins? did de la hoya win a decision against sturm?

As much as I dispute the legitimacy of those victories.

I can't go back in time and change them. End of.

No, I'm not a personal trainer but I have competed at a high level in sports one sport being wrestling in which I think training and making weight have a direct correlation to Boxing.

My very good friend's brother is a professional boxer, Patrick Maxwell (he is 10-1 and has sparred with both Hatton and PBF) and even he claims that Castillo had an advantage.

You are correct, the only reason I even brough up the weight is not to dispute who won fight 2 but to back up why I think Corrales would win fight 3. I think Corrales can take Castillo's 135lb power very well and rocked Castillo twice, once at the end of the 7th IIRC but didnt have enough time in the round to capitalize. Then again in the 10th. I also believe that the stoppage was premature in the 1st fight. They allowed Corrales to show his champion's heart and get up from the mat they should've given Castillo the same opportunity, IMHO.

All that said I think and hope Corrales will win.

                  sure

those 2 pounds were all the difference, the fact that castillo stepped in and out in this one (as opposed to move forward for the whole fight), and that corrales did not spit the mouthpiece does not matter...

                  sure

                    Right and that's an opinion.

All I'm pointing out...is there is really no way to tell what constituted either fighter's weight when they were unequal.

To say that Castillo's weight consisted of muscle mass and Corrales weight (which was higher than Castillo's at fight time) consisted purely of water....is really pure speculation.

If someone want's to believe that having to struggle to make weight is worse than hurting a rib, blowing up, and not doing effective or any training....that's fine.

Like I've stated this topic is pure speculation and there are far too many knowitalls in discussing this.

As far as the third paragraph is concerned, well yeah. That makes sense. Carry on.

                      Don't state those things.

It doesn't matter what Castillo did in the ring because he failed to make weight.[/sarchasm]
