Corrales could definitely win the 3rd fight & I'd favor him going into the 3rd fight if JLC makes 135 fair. In the first fight JLC was landing some monster shots on Corrales & yet he wasn't dropped till the 10th. The weight made a huge difference in the 2nd fight & like what was said; all it takes is 1 punch from Corrales & the fight could be over.

Exactly I wrestled (real wrestling not WWF stuff) and a few pounds makes a HUGE difference. Corrales has never made an excuse for any of his fights, he is a warrior that even wanted to continue a fight in which his lip was practically hanging due to cut and he was swallowing a lot of blood. Corrales didnt even use the easy out of he didnt make weight. Look at the post-fight interview with Larry Merchant, he gets proded and proded, into saying that weight was a factor but refused to use that as an excuse. In interviews after the first fight he says that he meant to spit the mouth piece into his glove but that it slipped from his glove. I believe him.

Also even for those who think he did cheat and spit it out on purpose, it is different than what Castillo did. Even if Corrales did that on purpose it was in the heat of the moment and less heinous than someone who plots to cheat and comes into a fight with dishonorable intent.

chico can win the third fight, the gameplan in the first fight was a good one, if you try to back off and box castillo will wear you down, stay close and he has'nt got room to punch.
it's really all about the weight though. castillo is a welterweight and corrales is a lightweight. if they both come in at 135, coralles wins. castillo should think of his health first and the money second. who'd love to see him fight margarito? i know i would.

The only people who say 2 or 3 pounds don't matter are ignorant fools who know nothing about boxing.

the second knockdown of round 10 did not even involve his glove - he spit it out cause to buy more time to recuperate if he wouldve been hit a couple more times this conversation would not be taking place

I'm not sure if thats the proper way of posting a link to a video but if it works properly this is the 9th and 10th round of fight 1. You can clearly see that Corrales attempted to catch his mouth piece with his glove.

Its a moot point but like I said earlier there is a huge difference between a heat of the moment buying a few seconds and premeditated cheating.

                  Can and will

Castillo cheated his way to victory the 2nd fight. Corrales will make him pay in the final chapter.

exactly. how do you explain Castillo unable to keep Corrales down even in round 10 the first fight but taking him out in the 4th round the second time around? give me a break. weight IS a factor.
