Manny started all this catchweight mess to the point where he had several fighters meet him at different weights.

You can't compare Pacquiao and Mayweather doing it to Golovkin doing it. They were fighting guys 20lb bigger than them after moving up multiple weight divisions already and were PPV stars. Golovkin is on a whole new level of diva.Comment

Why is the focus on Golovkin, a paper champion who hasn't even won the lineal title yet and is more than likely a one-division great like Marvin Hagler (or at least has the potential to be), rather than a Sugar Ray Leonard type.
What has P4P skilled Ward done besides sitting in one division and even having the Light-Heavy champ come down to 168. You've got Middleweight Title holders who are expected to move up to fight Ward, and you've got Light-Heavyweight Champions who came down to fight Ward.
When is it Ward's turn to show us that P4P skill that doesn't rely on the fight being at his beloved 168 division?Comment

Why isn't he showing ambition to win titles in other weight classes? GGG still didn't win the real Middleweight Title, why would he want the real Super-middleweight title? Or better, why would you as a boxing fan want to see that happen? Isn't it on Ward to start doing other things besides defending his 168 Title? After all, he's been around at the top a lot longer than GGG.Comment

Now we understand when a one-dimensional Carl Froch never moves up to another weight class, as he depends on that 168 strength advantage, but the supposed P4P skilled, Olympic Gold medalist winning Andre Ward?
168 was supposed to be the equivalent to Floyd's 130-Title reign at teh beginning of his career. I didn't know he was gonna linger in that weight class forever.Comment

Why? Because Andre Ward is supposed to be the P4P # 2 guy. Andre Ward is supposed to be P4P one of the most skilled/talented boxers. The type of skills that can move up in different weight classes and beat fighters who are stronger/bigger, a la Floyd Mayweather.

We want to see if GGG is what his team and HBO are marketing him as. Ward has answered those questions. It's not so much about moving up, its about GGG being "the most avoided" and "willing to fight anyone from 154-168".
It's really no different than people questioning Floyd calling himself "TBE".Comment

The focus is on GGG because he is getting the most media exposure. Ward earned his p4p ranking through his resume, GGG has not earned his p4p status through his.

So maybe GGG is not a ducker or fraud but simply smarter than Dawson who said that he will go to 168 in order to get Ward, and Andre being the opportunist that he is, took him upon his offer at face value. And now GGG is offering him a 164 fight, which technically qualifies as a 154-168 fight.Comment

So for Triple G to say 164 for Ward, he's ducking...
But Triple G is too big for Mayweather at 154? How does that work again?Comment
