GGG "KO HWs" all of a sudden is into CWs. There is a cool correlation between GGG fans and Floyd haters, this has them doing turns and flips
He either wants it at 168 or not. Ward is not supid to go to 164 and the hear Kovalev talk at 175.
If GGG doesnt want it, say it. He is not ducking a dude a division above him. Reasonable fans know that. But from now on STFU about 154-175 and KOing Hws. Hype over.
About Cotto, well, Cotto can ask for a CW now and while I hate it, GGG has to understand him now

gennady golovkin on ppv. that's the only ppv fight for ward. just look at NSB. what else do they talk about other than ward, golovkin? i think it's got the boxing world going as crazy as any other fight. obviously casuals don't know it, and mayweather, pacuqiao, cotto, canelo, klitschko in germany, will still sell better because of that.
maybe kovalev at 175 is a ppv for ward, but that's at least a year down the road. i think that's the fight they're looking for that,.
they're obviously going ot try and get the fight with the smaller guy on ppv over the bigger guy on HBO. that's smart. the bigger guy will still be there when you finish fighting the smaller one. you really shouldn't move to 175 and back down again.
would any of the staunch golovkin fanboys, or ward fanboys, disagree with that? would they disagree that trying to fight golovkin is the smart thing to do?

Apparently, just knowing that GGG is the best MW in the world, and thinking about how he easily would beat Cotto, Canelo, Lemieux, Lee and Saunders, should be enough for GGG's fans.
No need to actually see him fighting any of them.

I've been saying for a long while now I think GGG-Ward is going to happen next year, after Golovkin takes care of the business he's been working so hard to accomplish.

But GGG just gave cotto the moral ammunition to demand a CW, like it or not

there's a bigger difference in size between cotto and golovkin than there is between golovkin and ward. miguel cotto is not a natural middleweight. golovkin and ward have been at or above 160 for over a decade.
miguel cotto was a 140 lber to start, if you recall. he was at his best at 147 lbs. he had decent speed, power, and was a great boxer. beat judah, mosley. margarito ruined that fighter. during that time, golovkin and ward were amateurs at LHW and MW respectively.

"My honest opinion is it was definitely a set up by HBO and other people, too. It was set up for me to come in at 168. I would be vulnerable and they could expose it and he would look good at the same time. That's just my opinion on the whole situation. We could've done it at a catch weight where we both would've been comfortable but they wanted it at 168."
Here was the challenge from Dawson:
KELLERMAN: Super middleweight champion?
DAWSON: Super middleweight champion. I could make 168 or we could do it at 175 —a catch weight— it don't matter to me.
