Keyword is "flexible". I'm sure the $32mil guarantee is exclusively for PPV fights. No way does any company in their right state of mind guarantee a fighter $32 mil without any ppv revenue. This isnt the superbowl where they can sell 30 second ads for millions of dollars. Especially against someone like Berto.
Either way it sounds alot different than what you posted:
Floyd should just put the final nail in the ****ing with Canelo & De La Hoya coffin & hijack the date for Canelo vs Cotto for free TV. Gives them time to find some advertisers & hurts the PPV numbers for GBP & Canelo while still giving boxing fans the free fight. There isn't as much reason to try to cater to the Mexican fans on free TV vs a PPV fight so Sept 12 doesn't mean as much imo. This fight being on free TV is likely to have twice as many people watching then Mayweather vs Pacquiao cuz people won't have to pay $100.
