I believe he does want to fight 4 times a year, but realistically you gotta align your schedules up with 4 other guys. Also his father dying did put a hamper on that 4 fights a year plan last year

I'm thinking it's Makunouchi. Going to be one hell of a scrap for however long it lasts.

Unless it's Ward Froch or Lara it won't impress me

GGG is the best middleweight in the world by far. He will fight the best middleweight willing to sign the contract and he will knock him out. The knock out saga of GGG continues.

The only good fight and challenge he's going to get is by fighting Ward at 168 i think. Obviously i'd like to see Cotto or Canelo but they won't fight him.

Same for Ward really, i don't really think any current 168 fighter has a chance against him. If he wants a money fight he should fight GGG or move up to 175 where the likes of Kovalev are.

Both guys are in similar situations where the gulf in class between them and their divisions is just too much. They probably need each other more than ever right now.

The person he's likely talking about is Lemieux. It's pretty easy to see why they are in no hurry to move up in weight with the chance of a Canelo fight is right around the corner and pretty good unification fights against Lemieux and possibly Andy Lee in the meantime.

If Golovkin can get those fights, he could pick up the IBF title next (Lemieux), followed by the WBO (Lee) and finally the WBC/Ring belts against Canelo. That's the ideal scenario for the next three fights.
... Finalizing the WBC agreement it would be a good thing for Golovkin, because he would actually know how to plan his schedule...
... Didn't Loeffler said that Golovkin will fight in USA, in October? That would rule Lemieux out, because such a fight would have to happen in Montreal, where the money is...
