He looked great vs Broner and Mayweather but I watched his fight vs Corley and Corley beat him up and it could have gone either way however they were in Argentina so it went wide to Maidana. Lopez also beat the **** out of him and nearly stopped him. Cant believe that other guy tried to tell me Maidana has a good defence and even better than Matthysse. He gets hit by like 46% every fight.

However, he is a tough SOB and I feel has the resilience to beat most (Porter,Thurman).

Me too. Maidana is a better fighter now then when he took those loses. Khan loves to brag on his over 4 year old win over Maidana and forgets that Maidana had him in huge trouble and probably would have KOed Khan if the ref had not constantly separated them when the weren't tied up. Khan has refused the many challenges from Maidana for a rematch. If Maidana is overrated where does that leave Broner who he beat the hell out of?

This Maidana fan has liked Maidana since the first time I saw him in the Ortiz fight. I like his power and his fearless all out attacking style. He comes to fight and never gives up. He is almost never in a poor fight. He is a damn good welterweight although I think he is still better off at 140 pounds. He needs to be more consistent with his training and keep his weight low

that lopez **** is way overblown. maidana said lopez didn't have any power on those punches, he just couldn't move away from them because lopez gave him a dead leg. chino recovers a round later and dismantles him inside 6 but you got idiots calling that a life and death fight lol.

stat percentages aren't reliable. missed punches are counted way too often, especially with maidana's defensive subtleties. he does have good defense. the lack of physical damage in slug fights proves this.

I watched the fight again yesterday. Maidana was out on his feet, a big puncher would have finished him in that fight. I'm a Chino fan and I rate him highly but I keep it real. And it doesnt prove anything, he's thick skinned and doesnt bruise easily but gets hit a LOT. % landed proves everything.

                    He is........

Look. Maidana is a C Level fighter. He's a hustle fighter who comes to fight. He is overrated. He gave Floyd a tough fight and all of a sudden everyone forgets who he lost to. That wasn't so long ago. The Broner fight was a good win but Broner was overrated as well. He still put up a good fight and hurt Maidana down the stretch. How come MM didn't finish him???? Did he get a little better under Garcia? Yes. He still has C Level talent. Floyd fans couldn't wait to see how he would've done against Manny, to compare performances. LoL. Manny would disfigure his face just like he did Cheeto and Rios. He's fun to watch because he comes to fight but the Maidana show is OVER. Anytime a fighter gains that type of weight between fights, shows they are not taking their career seriously. When he does finally get back into shape, he will not be the same fighter. He's too rich now.

No one cares much about how much hell he gave to Lopez, Karass, Cayo and Ortiz anymore because he fought them a long time ago and has fought much better opposition than them. Khan is a solid opponent to give a hard time to, but Maidana was still generally outboxed. One 10-8 round and a couple decent rounds doesn't make up for getting decisively decisioned (imo anyway) and put onto the canvas in the first round. His performance against Floyd is trumpeted because Floyd was and is #1 P4P and it means much more, and the fight was genuinely competitive. Likewise Broner was being heralded as a future star and was the big favorite. Even now I'd still put Broner over most of the dudes you mentioned.
