... I suspect that GGG doesn't wants Lara... For the same reason Floyd doesn't want him... Namely: Lara would win against both GGG and Floyd (if the fights aren't fixed...)

Unless the Haymon fix is in, Floyd will be Floyd and play it safe for 12 unless he really has Berto in trouble.
He's safety first when he's fighting against top level oppostion I.e all the time.

Not only is this the first fight that is unranked that he's fought since Sharmba Mitchell I believe, it's also the first fight that isn't a reigning world champion (Guererro Interim and Marquez not in the weight class being fought) and also the first fighter that won't be Top 5 in the divison even (other than Marauez and Maidana) since Mitchell aswell.

Point being, I doubt he will be safety first. He will put on a show against Berto (if it's Berto) for his final fight.

It's his last fight, who cares? No point taking unecessary risk.
If Floyd had vacated his belts, I would agree with this. He could of fought a guy with a losing record and I could of cared less. I got no problem with a farewell fight, but continuing to hold the belts and not let the division start to sort itself out if he is really retiring is pretty lame. With him keeping the belts, he has no business fighting a Berto or Mayfield.

          That's true.

I wonder if he will still vacate? He seemed like he still had intention to vacate in that latest interview when he was with Erol Spence.

Love the sig. That was a fun fight. The best part of the sig is the dude in the back jumping in excitement for Mayorga antics lol.

Hard to tell with Floyd. As soon as you think he will do one thing he does something else lol. I hope he does if he really is retiring, and plans on fighting Berto.

Aside from boxing I'm a big fan of Tennis. I respect the structure of the sport and how its based on elimination until the 2 best players in the worlds are on the court facing one another. Fans of Novak Djokovic would never accept him playing anyone other than the best in his final match. Same goes for any other tennis champ.

This is part of what's hurting boxing. The fact that certain fighters can pick and choose opponents based on their agenda.
This is a good point. I don't understand why people are defending this. Are you guys fans of boxing or fans of Mayweather. I'm a boxing fan first. The Berto fight would be a complete joke if it gets made and a handful of jock sniffers will defend it.

Then why aren't you and Deevel916 "boxing fans" when there are mismatches not involving Haymon fighters like Manny/Algieri, Kov/ Caparello, Kirkland/ canelo, GGG/Monroe and other "on paper" mismatches?

I would've liked Amir to get the shot but I'm not too bothered. I just want Floyd gone now so the new generation of fighters stop waiting on him and start taking on eachother. Thurman, Porter, Brook, Danny, Spence etc all should all be matched up starting from early next year.
