I just can't see Mayweather walking away from all that money to fight for a fraction on CBS. The fight will be PPV. Most likely Khan but I could absolutely seem him fighting a guy like Berto because he signed a guaranteed contract with Showtime so he will get paid regardless. Showtime is the one who gets screwed if he picks a weak opponent and it doesn't do well in PPV sales like (Maidana fights and Guerrero fights). Only fights where they made money back was when he fought Canelo and Pacman. Because they guaranteed him so much money they need PPV sales in 1.25-1.5 mil range just to make a profit.

I like the conspiracy theory that he knows who he is fighting but won't announce it yet so he gives his opponent less time to prepare. Makes sense and he has already done this now in multiple fights where he goes to training camp and stalls negations and announces his next opponent at the last possible moment so they have less time to prepare. It's happened now too many times for this to be accidental. For such a great fighter Mayweather pulls a lot of bush league tactics. Kind of like not letting Maidana wear his gloves (even though Cotto wore the same gloves against him and he NEVER complained), agreeing to catchweight with Marquez and then refusing to make weight, paying guys off to not spar with his opponents during training camp, making Canelo drain to make weight when he already fought Cotto at the full 154 and part of that promotions was how he don't like fighters who drain other fighters (a shot at Manny who drained Cotto). It just makes him look insecure and petty where he feels the need to do stuff like this. He is talented enough to win without these tactics.

I'm wondering if they are going to make this some kind of gimmick to sell the fight? Because everyone **** the bed more or less between Khan, Thurman, Porter, Brook. They were counting on someone becoming a clear frontrunner and that didn't happen.
