The tears from victory and defeat throughout Froch's illustrious career were almost as sweet as the tears from joy and bitterness from GGG's fans as he pulled one of the greatest feats of trolling in boxing history. God bless you, Froch. Enjoy your retirement.

Yeah but that would require making a twitter account. No thanks

The guy has played a blinder if you ask me. Lets not pretend money isn't important in this game and fools like Ward would have been better off making fights happen on Froch's terms so they could have had a massive pay day and in Andre's case in particular most likely he would have beaten Carl a second time to increase his stock within the sport further but instead he got caught up playing the big man demanding terms that he was in no position to demand and now he looks like an idiot with much emptier pockets than he could have had if he'd have played to Carls tune for a second fight.

Froch was the money man in this division, make no mistake about it and now all the other fighters that made demands have nowhere near the earning potential that they would have had if they made a fight happen with Carl.

As for GGG? Yeah I thought Carl would have taken that one but I'd never call him a ducker. He's fought the best and has an unbelievable back to back record in world title fights against the best in his division.

Anyway, looks like hes further going to increase his net worth with a nice tv deal with sky sports and who knows what else after that.

Haters gonna hate......while he gets to **** Rachel Cordingly every night.

Sorry to see him go but something tells me he lost the ambition awhile back. Hope he has a long and healthy retirement.

Good call. It was definitely time. No sense in becoming a stepping stone for younger guys. Go out on a high note.

He's a true legend. A blueprint for fighters who want to take themselves to the very top even if they aren't technically gifted. He fought everyone and took many risks along the way.

My personal favourite was the Bute fight. He obliterated a guy who was unbeaten, P4P (although seems ridiculous now) and the boogeyman at 168. Bute has been damaged goods since that night.

Liked as a fighter but bloody hell this is going to make watching Sky Sports boxing coverage even harder than before.

Boxing is a poorer sport without the Cobra.

Enjoy your retirement champ, and thanks for all the great memories. Legend!
