Me either. I think they should fight at MW for the MW crown. That's how I would prefer it.

But Cotto is small man. I see 157-159 CW in order. The dude can't even get up to 160 in shape.

2016, when Cotto will be retired. Cotto will never fugging fight GGG. That is ******ed. Anyone who has been following boxing a little bit, now this is the truth.

I doubt Canelo would fight GGG either. GGG would destroy Canelo, end his career.

Why the hell do you think they aren't fighting him? Instead picking on soft touches.
Cotto fought Margarito when Margarito was the boogieman of boxing. I got no doubt Cotto would fight GGG, but GGG's team will end up ****ing it up cuz they won't kiss Cotto's ring despite that fight doing more wonders for GGG than all this hype that people are scared of him could never do. Also its a relevant point Cotto could retire at any point. The Canelo fight is gonna bring him a nice pile of money so win or lose it wouldn't surprise me if he walks & it'd have zero to do with GGG & more about being so accomplished in boxing that him walking away is deserved whenever he feels like it.

And I got zero doubt Canelo will fight him sooner or later, assuming both keep on their same path & no one gets upset or w/e, but again GGG needs to know his place & that Canelo has had big fights & GGG is still a squirrel trying to get his first nut.

GGG's team needs to be working on giving up $ for getting these fights that will provide more $ for him in the future if he wins, but they seem too consumed with getting big money for their first big career defining fight that they are forgetting how boxing tends to work. I believe all the Oscar's, Floyd's & Manny's had to take short money for their first big fight & GGG will to or he can wait til he's 37 for a big fight.

If Golovkin refuses, Cotto-Canelo walk away from the fight, the WBC has to make a decision and Golovkin will likely get his 160 mandatory for a vacant WBC belt.

If the "we want to now unify the division" talk is true, Golovkin should be fine with that; I call bull**** though, as Team Golovkin only started talking about unifying the middleweight division after Andre Ward punked their "whoop every fighter 154-168" schtick and it looked like Canelo and Cotto, two of the bigger draws in the sport, were coming into the middleweight division.

Cotto will not get past Canelo. Even if he did, there can be no demands for a catchweight made for a mandatory defense. Any fight against GGG will be at 160. Loeffler already made it clear that Golovkin will not accept a catchweight to fight for a MIDDLEWEIGHT title.

That's fine by me. 160 is where MWs should be fighting for MW titles. Although, that's not where Cotto won it at.
