Cotto's career in a nutshell = buncha titles from handicaps.

    Foreman than Martinez.
Spoken like a true hater. You can't seem to say anything good about ANY rican boxer and we're supposed to pretend you are just expressing an "opinion?"

Shyt is not an "opinion," it's envy politics propaganda 101.

Cotto's handicap too, he's had 2 or 3 surgeries on his right arm. I'd venture to say your arms are more important than your legs in boxing. In the battle of handicaps Cotto still won.

Not to mention the money Cotto will make once his career is done will be more than Trinidad made. If you asked me to choose who's career do I want to have, I would say Cotto hands down.
True, but also Cotto get's more hate because of his humble personality vs those that prefer the very outgoing, pound your chest, suped up country pride that Tito showed. Puerto Ricans are generally a loud expressive culture of people (I should know this being half), and Cotto is mostly the opposite of that.

Cotto is very relate-able to those that aren't big talkers and get the job done through hard work and dedication.

I think Tito fell in love with his power just as much as Naseem Hamed did and thought it could carry them through any tough fight that they didn't "get up" for. Unfortunately for both, when those moments came, the power wasn't enough. Neither decided to go back and rededicate themselves.

What Cotto did with getting with Roach was a sign of a fighter still trying desperately to stay with the game and if anything, improve whatever he could because he noticed there hasn't been changes with all the other trainers he had. That's a great sign of a dedicated fighter.

            Honestly.....

As I've stated several times over the years, Trinidad and De La Hoya are better than Cotto. Manny, Cotto, and Ward are my three favorite active fighters. In a fight against either one of them, Cotto gets KO'ed. PERIOD. There has always been a little tension on Cotto's end against Felix because they are from Puerto Rico. What Felix said the other day, is correct. Cotto has the edge in experience but not the edge in youth or recent opposition. Canelo has fought the better competition the last 3 fights. The most likely scenario of this fight is that Cotto gets KO'ed by the bigger, faster, and hungrier fighter. I cannot wait for this fight. It will be good until he gets KO'ed.

Yeah agreed, also correction, Cotto is 34 not 33(my mistake) which makes my point even better. Longevity is an important part of measuring two fighters greatness.

It doesn't matter if he would lose H2H, Cotto didn't give up after getting TKO'ed in back to back years 2008 and 2009 by Margarito and Pacquiao. He kept going and made history, won more titles in 2 more weight classes, as well as helped sell a total of 2.6million PPV's after his two worst defeats (Mayweather, Mayorga, Margarito II, Martinez), and you can add at least 1 million more with what the potential Canelo PPV will do. Why are these numbers important? Because it shows that Cotto is one of the top 3 fighters keeping the sport alive, even after the worst part of his career. Like I said, if I had to choose who I want to be, Trinidad or Cotto, give me Cotto's career.

LMFAO seems that way, I guess there is a reason they like him so much. Seriously the devotion of Cotto fans is unparalleled. Edit would green if I could.
