How do you feel about Floyd Mayweather's catch weight for Canelo Alvarez?

I was fine with it, Canelo is young and had fought close to the weight a few fights before. Mayweather gave up 5lbs Canelo 2lbs. I think if Canelo hadn't mentioned a CW the fight would have happened at 154lbs.

I was fine with it because Canelos team was the one that put it out there first (didn't he start at 147 anyway), and since then he has only been fighting at catch weights 155 lbs and higher. My only issue with Manny was when he fought at a catch weight for the 154 title when neither guy was even ranked at the time at that weight. Cotto and Oscar were drained but if they were ****** enough to go through with it and had time to prepare then that is there fault, the same way Manny said he hurt is should they lost the right to complain about it the moment they signed the contract.

i have already seen 3 posters excuse this BS saying canelos team came out with the CW idea, when did this happen? was it when canelo was still a teen?? cuz back then (19yo) he also offered marquez a fight at around 147, by that ****** logic marquez should come out today and challenge canelo at 147 ...

that was 2011 and the fight didnt get made back then, that had nothing to do with what team canelo wanted for the fight in 2013... team canelo didnt ask for the CW this time, guess who did?

It wasn't a big deal. Two lbs wouldn't have saved Canelo. Same for Pac/Cotto. But did think it was funny how much **** Mayweather and camp gave Pac about catchweights.
