it was unnecessary and tarnished his victory. i think floyd only did it out of spite, to punish canelo for being a huge diva at the time.

Kovalev was building himself up by taking difficult fights for low pay - let's not forget, he had only one world title before he fought Hopkins.

Sergey had to earn his star status taking tough fights in foreign countries, he never had all the privileges and advantages that Andre Ward has enjoyed.

But he has established himself now and was paid well for the Pascal fight.

Ward v GGG should be at 168 since Ward won the 168lb title in the ring during the Super 6 whilst GGG never won a title in the ring.

Not Floyd's fault that Canelo himself challenged Floyd to fight at 150 and after the negotiations it became 152, Canelo wanted to act all tough and then a week or so before the fight, when his fat behind had trouble coming down in weight, he started b1tching about it, even though he was the one who demanded it.

I hope the same doesn't happen if Floyd fought GGG at a catchweight or at 154, GGG was the one who wanted that, nobody forced him, so if he b1tches about the weight a week before or after the fight, then that's his problem.

Most Golovkin fans were saying....sorry, I mean PRAYING.... that Ward's fight with Smith at 172 meant that he couldn't make the 168 limit any more and is a Light Heavyweight.

Now they are saying ridiculous things like Ward should come down to 160

Arguably the worst and most laughable fanbase in boxing right now. Khantards give them a run for their money but there's a lot less of them.

Why won't Kellerman ask Ward if he'll fight GGG at 160, like he asked Dawson if he'd fight Ward at 168? Why does the diva Ward get special treatment, when he doesn't deserve it?
at 164 ward will be drained, at 160 he will be a zombie...
this is not the kind of challenge you want for ggg...
he isnt going to get credit for fighting drained, smaller, older or tomato cans...

Loool. You actually want him to lose an additional 8lbs? You're delusional.

Oh, Dawson offered to go down to 168lbs. That was his decision.

Edit - That should read an additional 4lbs.

Mayweather always gets credit for those kind of opponents.

                      Drained: Alvarez
                      Smaller: JMM, Guerrero, Hatton
                      Older: DLH, Mosely, Hernandez, etc
                      Tomato cans: Baldomir
Shot boxers who had been KOed multiple times: Mitchell, Pacquiao

You gave Ward credit for draining Dawson down to 168.
