If what he was doing was legal he would not hide behind that loop hole title and would clarify what his role is. He would appear at his events and grant interviews like any other legit business man in entertainment/sports. Instead he hides to avoid answering these questions and bars media members who have been asking these questions access to PBC events. There is a slue of creditable boxing writers and analyst that have been denied press passes to PBC events. Why is that? What other legit promoter does this? And you got all these lawsuits. Yeah nothing shady at all. My guess is the end game is at some point the courts/government will make him clarify and decide if he wants to be a Manager or a Promoter and he will settle out of court and cut GB/Top Rank another huge check.

You just made that up out of thin air and everyone reading your post knows it. But I hope that made you feel really smart and important. Lol...
First, I was underscoring the fact that it is pointless to argue the merits of the case because we're not parties to the litigation. Your argument that the law suit does not have "merit" is in and of itself without merit. You already stated you're not an attorney, and I seriously doubt you've analyzed the law suit and pertinent statutes and case law. Second, you highlight your ignorance of the case by not knowing that he's being sued under federal antitrust laws, state unfair competition laws, and other business torts.

I don't feel smart or important. Posting on here makes me less intelligent by the hour.

Once again we're not in court and I didn't make an argument. I just made a statement that is a matter of opinion. The lack of merit of my merit give merit to my lack of merit.... Lol I feel like I'm looking into a mirror that has mirror in front of it. Don't confuse me. No I have not analyzed the law suit and all of that legalese you just spoke. I'm sure you haven't either, even if you are a lawyer and fully capable of doing so because it would be a huge waste of time unless you're getting paid to do it. I highlight my ignorance because of all of this stuff you said eh? Is that what lawyers do; try to talk down to people so they will cut them a check? It's sounds like some sort of a scamming technique to me. I'm just using common sense and my comprehension of the English language. I don't have or need a law degree to use those. And if it was just about him breaking the law the government could bring charges and open an investigation into his business practices without there being a lawsuit. So far the only people who are accusing him of anything are his business competitors...

The only idiots who are having an issue with what haymon is doing for boxing and boxers is dumbazz ignorant *******s! This guy is putting entertaining fights on free tv! Bob arum has done nothing but make boring after boring in-house fights. And on top of that he robs his fighters and keeps them from fighting if they fight back. So tell me how is Arum good for boxing and Haymon isn't?

Well, if GBP is serious about that 100 Million they're suing for, they're going to have to open their books and disclose actual 'damages'.

I.E. We are happy to lease out our license, not pay any event costs, and not have to break off a fighter any bread at all. I will say Haymon's circumventing of the ALI act has been masterful.

Truth of the matter is that no matter what happens with this case Floyd Mayweather is The Best Ever and Top Rank, De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao all can cry a river tears but nothing will change that. They can sue Al Haymon out of boxing but Mayweather will still be remembered as The Best Ever. Don't it hurt so bad? And how pathetic is it to file a lawsuit when you've been outsmarted by someone you thought was your subordinate. Lol. Top Rank and Golden Boy = Sourg****s and Sore losers.
Lol! You really think thats what its about?

I think more people are mad that Haymon used Floyd as leverage for many years to extort networks into wasting their budget overpaying for garbage fights to showcase his fighters against noname tomato-cans like Rod Salka.

I think more people are mad that he has created an environment where it is no longer possible for the best to fight the best in each division.

Im hard pressed to think of a single division in the sport where two top fighters are not being kept apart by Al Haymon.

122, 126, 140, 147, 160, 174 thats just off the top of my head divisions that are basically on hold because of Al Haymon, or have been recently.

                      174 - Kovalev vs Stevenson
                      160 - Quillen vs Martinez & GGG
147 - Everyone is being kept away from Floyd, and each other. Khan is being protected, Thurman is being kept away from meaningful step-up fights + more stuff than I care to list.
140 - Danny Garcia. You dont need to say much more than that. Being kept away from a Matthysse rematch, for years while fighting nobody at all. Kept away from Bradley. Kept away from Terrance Crawford, Postal, Providnikov.
126 - Harboring runaways from Rigondeaux, and now having them fight each other instead of putting them in there for a tittle.
122 - Has kept LSC, and Mares from unifying with Rigondeaux for years, and now is doing the same with Frampton.

I think thats why people dont like him, and think he is bad for boxing.
Al Haymon was the force behind the boxing cold war.
