I found the source of Lara's actual quotes in Spanish. The boxingscene translation makes it sound like Lara's people are only talking about the fight in a general sense. The actual quotes specifically states lara's people are talking to GGG's people.

There's been talk over a fight with Golovkin. How much of that is true?

In the other part about 50% chance of it happen, it might also be translatable to it's 50% done. I'm not completely sure about that though.

Why on earth would Boxingscene leave out the juiciest part? Weird.

At any rate, I've been thinking K2 is currently in talks with someone because they've been a little quiet on the next opponent. In the past, what we've seen is they wait a few weeks for something big, nothing happens and immediately go into a fight with whoever is the highest available opponent. This time they obviously went after Cotto/Lemieux and now are quiet and there are no talks of some Monroe equivalent like Johnson or Heiland and the likes.

I think NSB will be happy if this fight happens. And the really good news for me is that this means Haymon & HBO are willing to work with eachother, so there shouldn't be any excuses for Kovalev-Stevenson, Loma vs ____, etc.

Are you sure about this? He's been calling out GG for months now how come we're not hearing any development? It's not that hard to get in touch with anybody in this day and age brah. There are all kinds of cell phones with cameras, there's the internets, social media, email, etc. Don't you think we should be hearing news about it by now?

I'll wait for another week doe, and see if this guy is really doing something about it. Or he just loves to talk.

We don't know because Loeffler has responded or made any kind of offer. He will be the lead promoter and will dictate that it's on HBO so he needs to be proactive.
