In a ten round fight you need 5 rounds for a draw. Lucas knocked him down so he needed 6 for a draw. You're telling me Devon won 7 rounds? poor troll attempt.

          Its possible.
IDC who says otherwise, that is not an easy fight stylistically for Floyd not for no 40yr old version.

Just because he can box people say he isn't a pressure fighter. They was sleeping on his boxing ability before, how fickle.
He applies pressure as good as anybody.
That is what a well polished pressure fighter should look like.
He pressures boxers and boxes pressure fighters!

A very good jab, good counterpunching, can cut a ring off, doubles and trebles up on his punches, one of the best finishers in the sport. Tremendous engine, great punch output & 1 punch power in either hand! He don't have to catch guys flush to **** their whole world up.
He has all the tools to give Floyd bags of problems and anybody in or around that weight class.
Nobody is shutting Lucas Matthysse out.

There is no doubt in my mind Lucas gives Floyd a fight.

What does this mean? "Gives Floyd a fight"....??

Maidana gave Floyd a fight, but didn't BEAT him. Are you saying Matthysse wins like 4 rounds?

That's how much Floyd better is than everyone else. If you win 4 rounds against him, it's like a big moral victory.

The original question was could Matthysse beat Floyd. Good God no.

I'm saying he gives Floyd problems and will be competitive, he will have his moments. Do I think he wins? Probably not but at the same time I wouldn't rule him or anybody with that kind of power out of any fight.
There are only like three guys around the weight that I think would be competitive. Cotto rematch, Lara, Matthysse.

All these others get shut out.
I don't care if Floyd wins, I just want to see good, competitive match ups. Is he better than everyone else? Sure, doesn't mean I don't want to see guys I think can give him a good go fight him.
Its the same with Wladimir, same with Rigondeaux they're levels above but I still want to see how they deal with particular opponents, particular styles and skillsets.

I have no interest in say Keith Thurman, that is an easy fight for Floyd. Stylistically an easy fight. All these names I keep hearing are easy fights.
