No. He's never fought at 147, he's not aggressive enough and not good enough to outbox Floyd.
Could Matthysse beat Mayweather? (Seriously)

After what Canelo did, there is no way any fighter will ever try to outbox mayweather, unless they are cuban.Comment

I've watched every single fight multiple times. I have a copy of every single televised fight including his fights in Argentina, yes I know his strengths and weaknesses very well.
Strengths
-Output
-Power
-Punch Selection
-Killer Instinct
-Can box a bit
-Accurate
Weaknesses
-Can be frozen by combinations
-Will try to box with you
-Can abandon the jab (better fighter with it) when losing/frustrated.Last edited by SalimShady1212; 07-07-2015, 09:28 PM.Comment

I remember when there used to be so many Lucus fanboys, their master plan used to be; beat Garcia then move on to Mayweather, and then become the next big thing in boxing. How times change.Comment

There is nobody even close to being able to beat Mayweather, at LEAST at 154 and under. I'm not even sure GGG would beat him, and I'm a huge fan of how he cuts off the ring and controls distance. But Floyd controls the ring. To beat him, you have to reach him and land on him -- not once, but many times. No current fighter can do it. He would easily choose his shots against Matthysse and outpoint him at leisure. He would see everything Matthysse was bringing long before it arrived, and he'd have an answer for it every time.
Rewatch the Canelo fight. A very promising competitor -- an up and comer -- was unable to do anything whatsoever.Comment
