Hearns KOed cruiserweights, at cruiserweight not at a catchweight.

Ray got that belt for fighting at 168 pounds, lol.

Sugar Ray Leonard has never fought above 168 pounds.

Ppl complain about catchweight and they don't even know the history of that ****ery of a fight. Probably easily the worst catchweight in history.

That is some serious power. Can you imagine a welterweight attempting that today? Fight is well worth the watch. Credit to John Molina Jr for recommending it.

this to me is more impressive
there are so many lighter divisions guys can collect titles just putting on the normal weight everyone does in their 20s

going from 154 to hw is a normal sized man fighting freak giants

(well at least on paper.. ruiz was kind of a lame hw champion)

Well he did get caught taking steroids so all the bulking up was illegal and should not count as he was exposed.....I like jones but he cheated and you cannot count that if he was juicing

For both the SMW and LHW titles on the line.

Much backlash at the time, deservedly so.

What they said. Imagine Andre Ward fighting Kovalev at 168 for his 175 belts and how pissed people would be now. You think anyone would give him credit?
