This is an oldass interview. But still, malignaggi is a ****ing dumbass. I rather watch undefeated young prospects I never heard of who are trying to make a name for themselves (which is the whole ****ing point of it) box than some big name vs some bum in which the outcome is predictable.

You still get those guys, the only difference is that more established fighters arent waiting for guys that a ppv worthy to fight. Guys that were fighting once a year we now get to see up to three times a year on basic t.v. Not every fight is a ppv and Haymon knows this. Look at the situation Canelo is in. He is supposed to be the face of boxing and he is stuck waiting on Cotto, begging him for a fight because he has to have ppv level fighters to have people tune in. He cant fight out of Texas to draw a crowd because of it. The kid was more popular back in the day when he was fighting anything and everyone staying busy.

Like GGG, even though he is on HBO a premium network that not everyone has access to. But he makes up for that by fighting so often, they know not every fight is going to be ppv worthy but you have to build a base and that is what PBC does and is doing great so far.

As a fan I am happy. Top Rank, nor Golden Boy have put on anything as good as what PBC has. They have good fights once a year, and in the same year PBC gave us several top ten match ups, and even championship fights between elite fighters.

If you're paying for cable, then you're paying for the other channels. I don't have rabbit ears, I have direcTV and pay for HBO and Showtime to watch as much boxing as possible. PBC is free, if paid for cable before it was on TV at all... well it's still free because you were paying for cable prior to it even being on TV. So you're the exact idiot Paulie was referring to.

Its not free at all if you're paying for any kind of tv service. Do you even understand what cable tv is?

I agree with Paulie. Boxing fans complain the most out of any sport. Seriously. He's spot on with this. Most of the people on here complaining about the match ups and PBC are gonna watch it anyway.. These guys remind me of Steve Kim's ***** ass. Every card had good, entertaining fights..... and it's only been going since March! Let the business grow! It's only been 4 months and people are acting like they're not getting their 'monies worth'. Idiots.

What? If you're talking about PBC's ratings, they are getting better numbers than HBO with Broner/Porter and Thurman/Guerrero. If HBO were smart they'd put Cotto and/or Canelo on the same channel as PBC and watch the rating blow it out of the water. But they aren't, Haymon is and he's beaten HBO twice at their own game.

I have to agree with Paulie on this one....fans throw rocks and try to knock Uncle Al's hustle but **** eat the networks and dudes who've been doing the SAME hustle for years!!....MOST of the fighters that MOST people hate be saying "I wanna thank Al Haymon" after their fights so a little brainwash detergent from here and there...and BOOM!!...Uncle Al is public enemy #1.....if Unc is the bad guy, what does that make Arum, Hoya, and HBO?!?....good?!?...GTFOH!!!

My favorite is when a poster like Divine Hammer writes stuff like -I want Al to fail because monopolies are bad for the sport. I wish we could go back to the days when fights were just on HBO.

The fights on NBC have been pretty good... I really don't like the idea of moving it to ESPN though..that's cable TV and not free tv.. the NBC stuff I understand though..and it's been a huge success...but hey I agree with Paulie overall.. more competition between networks is better for the sport...

Plus NBC has put up better fights than anything Showtime has put up this year...

HBO just put up Bradley v. Vargas..so boxing fans criticizing PBC should say something about HBO charging an extra $15 a month for crap like Bradley v.Vargas...
