So far she has showcased him on NBC, landed him an exclusive HBO deal, took a risk for his first world title, secured him a unification fight with an atg in Hopkins and PPV fight in Canada with Pascal. He currently has 3 belts, he draws 1m viewers every time he fights.

K2 are doing a better job promoting Golovkin, but he has the advantage of being able to keep Mayweather, Canelo and Cotto's name in his mouth which generates a lot of interest.

They're both doing a better job than Top Rank with Lomachenko, who sent him in against an overweight fighter in the most corrupt US boxing state. Then they messed up a Walters unification by waiting around having Lomachenko fight two bums. Now he's only fighting 2 times this year.
You make some solid points. I still think she needs to keep him in the public eye more. He's actually a really marketable fighter imo. He sounds menacing and he's exciting. Main Events has taken risks with Kovalev but it doesn't seem to be paying off. Meanwhile, K2 is hustling and giving GGG all sorts publicity.

Yeah I don't like what Top Rank is doing with all of their Eastern European fighters: Lomachenko, Gvozdyk, Mekhontsev, Kavaliauskas, etc. Those four are better than most of their prospects yet they are not getting any type of coverage. They keep guys like Lomachenko so inactive. They let Salido get away with all sorts of things in their match. European fighters should not sign with Arum. They should go K2 or PBC.
It's funny people say PBC is horrible, in my opinion they are doing a fantastic job and they give their European fighters (Beterbiev, Khytrov) a fair shake. They also keep them active, plus TV coverage.

I can't believe Loma signed 5 years with that company. I was actually hoping for him to be PBC lol.

Kov made more money in the pascal fight I think 3 mill than gg has made I his last few fights
I'm not talking about resumes, buddy. I'm saying K2 has done a better job at promoting GGG, than ME has done with Kovalev. One guy can sell the other will struggle, unfortunately.
IMO Sergey is better than GGG. But he just doesn't get the same love GGG is getting and that's where promoting comes into play.

I didn't even realise Gvozdyk was with Top Rank. Yeah, it has to be said PBC are doing a good job with Beterbiev and Khytrov. Unless TR can make the Walters fight, imo Loma's year is going to be virtually a waste of time.

Main Events could do significantly better with Kovalev but they're not doing terribly either.

One thing that bothers me about ME is they've found this gem in Kovalev, why not go out and look for another one? They seem content to rely on him. If he gets injured and has to retire, or loses a couple of fights, they're pretty much done.

WTH, Smilies? Did I type that in? lol

Anyways. Exactly, Top Rank is doing a horrible job with these guys but then people act like PBC is the evil company. I really wanted to see Loma vs Walters, but it looks like Walters can't make weight. Maybe they could have done the fight earlier but then again Loma hasn't even been pro for two years. The first time they talked about a potential Loma-Walters fight was after Nick beat Nonito in October. So I'm not sure when it could have happened last year. Top Rank has to keep Loma more active. Vasyl should not have signed with Bob for another five years, bad move imo. He should have signed with K2, maybe they would have kept him fighting on the GGG undercards. PBC would probably also keep him active. Now we get to see Loma only twice a year. As a Loma fans that sucks, others don't give a crap lol.

The Eastern Europeans under Top Rank should be careful, I don't trust TR with these fighters tbh.

Maybe I was over exaggerating about ME, I guess I'm trying to compare them too much with K2. When I see what K2 has done with GGG compared to what ME is doing with Kovalev, I don't like it.

If you're not watching Kovalev fight then you're not a fan of boxing, its as simple as that.

Haha all the pbc fangirls crack me up. But the shumenov fight is competitive. Wow that's literally the first time I hear them say that for an actual pbc card

Sorry but Kovalev and GGG in against 100-1 batting practice is not compelling television from HBO. It's crap

no people like you are far worse. PBC has had plenty of competitive fights, yes there have been a few total mismatches as well. HBO has had a couple decent bouts and the rest have been mismatches just like this card

How many cards have they had this year so far? And the. Only ones that were competitive were lamont-danny, degale-dirrel and figuroa-burns and porter-broner. So out of all the fights this year, only 4 were competitive and that's including the undercarda

Im saying Duva is getting kov in there with the big dogs. Shes getting kov money and alot of it. Look at how much kov is making and look at ggg pay. Probably would be the same or kov with more money. Even if kov isn't selling as much as ggg he is still making similar money if not more
