Promoter Kathy Duva of Main Events does not feel threatened by the recently announced event for July 25 at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas. The Palms card will be a "Premier Boxing Champions" televised event on NBC Sports. In the headliner, cruiserweights BJ Flores and Beibut Shumenov will do battle. Both boxers reside in Las Vegas.

Kovalev is 100-1 favorite and Shumenov vs Flores is just about an even money fight, so...fans will decide how good the card is, I guess.

History told us that these Americans dont give a **** about the cruiserweight-division so i think Duva is right. America had a VERRY good cruiserweight-champ with Cunningham but nobody wanted to see him fight or pay him decent money so he often had to fight overseas. I like Cruiserweight but in america People dont care about it.
