I like Cruiserweight but in america People dont care about it.
Prior to Haymon, no entity with US TV had all that much interest in showcasing cruiserweights.
As things stand now Shimmell, Flores, Shumenov, Huck, Cunningham, Michael Hunter (who is admittedly a ways off from truly putting his name into the discussions) and others (Tony Bellew fights for Matchroom Sport, whom I believe will be more than happy to let Bellew fight on PBC if the proper opportunity came forward) are all cruiserweights that work with Haymon or are affiliated with Haymon.
If Haymon is interested, he's got the avenues to showcase the cruiserweights on PBC with no problem; don't put Duva being unable to deliver the opportunity to her fighter on fan disinterest.

It's the same mismatches that Haymon does but they get a pass because the fights end in knockouts.

Kathy Duva is a horrible promoter imo, so she should just be quiet. It's too bad Kovalev will never leave her because she was the only one that give him a shot. Main Events is doing a horrible job at promoting Sergey. He would be better off with K2, they have done an EXCELLENT job with GGG.
PBC is doing a better job than she is promoting fighters.Last edited by HI-TECH Boxing; 07-05-2015, 01:34 PM.

All these promotions companies just complain about Haymon and when he puts on a fight the same night one of their guys are fighting. Where does it state that a promoter can't have his guys fight on the same night another fight is happening? They all should stop worrying about Haymon and promote their own fight. But since they are afraid of losing in the attendance area they want to blame Haymon. I never heard or saw this happen when these same promoter 's where undercutting their guy's money unlike with Haymon who is making sure their fighters are getting paid their fair amount of cash and not robbing them.

So far she has showcased him on NBC, landed him an exclusive HBO deal, took a risk for his first world title, secured him a unification fight with an atg in Hopkins and PPV fight in Canada with Pascal. He currently has 3 belts, he draws 1m viewers every time he fights.
K2 are doing a better job promoting Golovkin, but he has the advantage of being able to keep Mayweather, Canelo and Cotto's name in his mouth which generates a lot of interest.
They're both doing a better job than Top Rank with Lomachenko, who sent him in against an overweight fighter in the most corrupt US boxing state. Then they messed up a Walters unification by waiting around having Lomachenko fight two bums. Now he's only fighting 2 times this year.
