Unlike Mayweather, Jones continued his career when he very well could have stopped. Jones went 50 fights without a serious blemish on his record outside of a DQ he later proved with a 1st round KO. In my view moving up 40lbs through your career is much better than just 24lbs (super featherweight-junior middle).

People, people, people...
How many times is this thread going to come up? Does anyone think that Prada wearing, Poodle walking, drama queen Floyd stands a chance against a hardened farm boy from the South who fights like an uncaged tiger with all speed, power, and agility therein?
Floyd would have no answer for Roy's reach, speed, and power. If you thought he fought scared against Manny, that's nothing compared to quivering fear that would surely take over his body should he be forced into the ring with Roy(because he would still have to be forced, even at 154lb-160lb in a fantasy matchup...even in our imaginations, Floyd would resist LOL)
Floyd won't even fight Lara!...
Man I can't wait for Floyd to announce his last cherry pick...Comment

rjj is underrated as a technician, he has very high boxing iq but i think floyd is the smarted fighter of all time. his defence is just amazing. would be pretty boring fight to watch tbh with very few punches thrown each round.
rjj is bound to cause anyone problems but i think floyd beats him in a very close fightComment

Same height, same weight, prime for prime, Roy could never beat Floyd, even his dreams.
Roy lack fundamentals, that's why when his athleticism fades, he was no longer the same. Roy was just a gifted athlete that relied on his Uber reflexes. Floyd is a student of the sport plus a gifted athlete.Comment

Serious.... A lot of people thought Toneys style (much like Mayweather, defensively) was gonna be an issue. It wasn't... Toney just allowed Jones to score points all night. A prime Jones was accurate and offensively gifted.Same height, same weight, prime for prime, Roy could never beat Floyd, even his dreams.

Mayweather in his prime was much more aggressive and no were near a defensive as he was. When Roger Mayweather(arguably his prime), Mayweather was wanting to be aggressive to sell fights... Reason being why the Castillo fight was so close....
Unlike most of Mayweather opposition, Jones at 154 would have had the power, speed and accuracy to cause Mayweather all sorts of issues.
Jones in his prime, looked unbeatable... Reason people called him "Superman".Comment

You can't make absolute comparisons - only percentages are relevant. Roy still wins in that regard, but it's not as big a difference as you make it sound. Furthermore, Floyd has fought much much better opposition above his natural weight than Roy did. Floyd is the greater fighter, end of story. Maybe Roy wins a pound for pound match up, maybe he doesn't, but nobody credible has Roy ranked higher than Floyd in an ATG list. You conveniently cherry pick the Toney fight in which Toney was dehydrated. Also note that besides what most think, Roy and Floyd fight very differently. I say all this even though I absolutely love Roy and hate Floyd with a passion.Unlike Mayweather, Jones continued his career when he very well could have stopped. Roy is an underrated technician, but he's not as good as Floyd. Roy struggled with some boxers/defensive fighters or at least didn't look great - see Griffin I, McCallum, Hopkins. Yeah he avenged the first Griffin loss and beat the others, but he wasn't a god as he was in many of his fights against the latest bum of the month. Mayweather is greater than all of these guys in every department.Comment
