That said, it's not outrageous to suggest that they fight, because Mayweather does hold a 154-pound belt and Golovkin has repeatedly said he could make 154 pounds easily. If you're a 154-pound champion, then you should be ready, willing and able to fight anyone who can make the 154-pound limit.

There was ample evidence presented just last week that proves Golovkin could make it. On the Monday before the fight, he weighed 161 pounds, just one over the middleweight limit and only seven away from the super welterweight limit."
Cutting weight is so hard on the body tho. So of course he's gonna lose a lot of power and even more energy. So that's why I say 156. Look at your body when you have the flu. You lose so much weight bc you body is taking ever resource to get you better. That's what causes the fatigue. At 154 GGG is a lot slower weaker and tired than at 160. Which negates all of his advantages except prolly power but swing and miss all night will have him tired weak and dehydrate by round 8. Live it sounds like a good fight. On paper GGG is at a major disadvantage throw in the a hydration clause forget about it easy ud for Floyd Floyd. The fairest scenario 154 no clause 156 with clause.

The dehydration is a serious factor, making a GGG fight almost not worth it(still better than Brook/Thurman)... sad fact is, Lara-Floyd is literally the only worthwhile fight right now that could be easily be made(Lara is a hayman man)...

Question to anyone who might know:

When the hell does Floyd plan on announcing his next opponent? Doesn't he cheat his opponent by delaying announcement (giving him less time to train)?

I agree with this part even though I don't really consider Floyd a junior middleweight champion because he hasn't fought at the full divisional limit since Cotto...in 2012.

You think Golovkin can make 154 without weakening his body?

Who ever he's fighting the camps have talks far before they confirm the fight. The only time info is leaked is when one camp is ducking the fight or negotiating thru the media ie arum and Manny. Plus Mayweather Trains all year to fight and he feel you should be doing the same.

I don't like it. It's one thing for Golovkin to drop down to 154, but the rehydration clause is a whole other issue. There's very few current JMW's who could make 154 the day of the fight.

I hope it happens. I got Floyd by UD.
Probably because mayweather is basically the only fighter significant enough to call the shots himself.

That's crazy I search the web and didn't find anything on it. But I knew deep down negotiations has have at least been had when everything went quite.

If it happens at 160 maybe. Floyd brings on his own criticisms.
