There are some holes that you list and I am not sure about his chin. But who doesn't have any holes in his game besides Floyd? Literally everyone! Even great ones have weaknesses.

I am rooting for Thurman. Collazzo disappoints me but I can live with it. I don't think he's as good going forward as Crawford (future p4p King in my view), but he'll be top 10, I think. He'll be fun to watch as he steps it forward.

Fair point, I like his attitude and his willingness to fight anyone but I'm yet to be sold on him. But of course I'm hoping he fights elite opposition soon so he can prove me wrong.

I think Thurman can beat Any Welterweight not named Mayweather! Either by KO or by just simply out boxing them. He is a Boxer Puncher, he has boxing skills to go with his Power. Sure he has his Flaws but what fighter doesn't. Thurman Flaws are nothing that can't be corrected.

We shall find out I say by the end of this year in which one of these Top Welterweights will have to fight him!

The Chaves fight was 2 years ago. Thurman is a more intelligent fighter today.

As to the Mayweather fight, everyone thought he'd have an easy time with Maidana too. Nobody knows anything until they get in the ring.

I don't see Thurman having any success with the Maidana gameplan. Chino's strategy is what caused problems. We'll find out if he's the whole package soon enough.

You have Matthysse beating him, he's a relatively small JWW completely untested at 147, never mind against a strong or big 147lber.

I'm not sure how you're confident he hits harder than Thurman having never fought at welter. It's fine saying Corley, Judah and Alexander say he hits hard, but what would Thurman do to them?

Thurman's chin is maybe questionable, but the guy can run and box. If he gets hurt, and he has been hurt, he has an exceptional plan B.

I don't think he's unbeatable, but I think he's a problem for anyone, Pacquiao and Mayweather inclusive.

Thurman has shown that he has other dimensions in the ring. He is a powerful puncher and has good legs. Also he knows how to use the jab and his ring IQ is above average. He will beat most and really trouble any top guy

Thurman has NOT improve since that fight, not at all. He is still pretty wide and wild... Against soto I was very disappointed in him. He is still learning and he still ends up winning but he needs to realise that power isn't everything.

He's an inch shorter, weighs the same at fight night and has the same reach (in fact HBO billed Matthysse eith a longer arm length). Hardly a huge difference. Lucas has said multiple times he wants to move up next year. Alexander was knocked down once in his career (vs Matthysse). Maidana didn't do much to Alexander, Thurman couldn't stop Bundu. I'm unconvinced. Thurman not even fought much top tier competition and has a lower Ko % than Lucas

but he is trying to step up, remember when he had only 17 fights and he was scheduled to fight maidana, and chino pulled out like a coward. hes trying to get in with elite fighters. you can say hes going through what gg is going through
