Brook has fought better opposition than you are saying. I can't stand Khan but that has nothing to do with me liking Brook. I like Brook because he is a nice guy outside the ring and he has a pleasing style and fast, hard, accurate punches inside the ring. He has never lost a fight. He has never been knocked down. He trains hard and has good stamina. I would say he has made his own luck. Thurman is a fighter, not a fan, and he considers Brook one of the best welterweights in the world. Brook is the only fighter so far to defeat Porter who is also a very good welterweight. He is defending his title against Rios who is a top ten world rated welterweight and a dangerous puncher. Unlike many champions Brook is defending his title 3 or 4 times a year.

Same question to you, what would you have done different with Brook up to this point in his career?

You can't slam a fighter for what he's done if you don't have an idea of the alternative routes/fights he could have chosen.

Anyhow, I do believe he is a lucky fighter. Truth is, his best win came against Porter who isn't elite yet but was good enough to snatch a world title from Devon Alexander who also isn't elite but again... good enough.

I'm a fan of Porter by the way, but I can recognize he still has room to improve.

These type of fighters are good enough to get a title but not hold on to them long enough. That's what separates the elite from the good.

Brook has milked this victory a lot and who can blame him, it came with a world title. I guarantee you he would lose it against the first elite fighter he defends it against.

There is nothing impressive about Brook or his resume. He is just another tourist to a belt like Wilder said about Stiverne. It happens. He just had the perfect style for a guy like Porter who lunges in without much thought behind his attack. Porter was wild and reckless, and Brook knew how to manage distance and catch him with his arms or a well timed shot. Just the kryptonite style for Porter.

Brook isn't anything special, what he holds, however, is. And that's why he is relevant for the time being.

            Porter

British fans jump on Brook's bandwagon in spite of his crap resume. Who's the lucky one here?

Most British fans who hate on Khan and ride the Brook bandwagon are racist. They hate Amir Khan because of his ethniticity and religion.

If Khan was white, all of UK would jump on his **** like they jumped on Hatton's.
Khan is extremely popular in the UK he used to get TV audiences of over 10 million for his debut and all the bums he fought on the way up. He was a millionaire before he even made his debut. He's one of the luckiest fighters to ever step foot in the ring. He's turned into a deluded big headed ****. Now he won't fight his British rival after he did everthing Khan asked and give the British fans the fight they want to see.

And he beat 3 world title challengers and 2 former world title holders before he won the belt himself. 3 World title holders if you include Porter.

Not every fighter should say for example be knocking on the door for a world title after they have been pro for 5 years, it ain't that black and white. All fighters have different timelines and make their way in the pro game in different ways

I consider Gabe Rosado pretty lucky. Guy been getting title shots and headline spots for years and all he does is get outpointed or knocked out.

He should push Hearn for the Thurman fight. I'm convinced that he KO's him impressively.

And Senchenko KO'd Ricky Hatton, it's all irrelevant when it comes to Brook.

Malignaggi is a two weight world champion, regardless of whether you think he is feather fisted.

I ask you the question, who would you have had Brook fight up to this point?
