Why do all these young, prime fighters want to take on an older, slower, more battle worn fighter (relative to prime)?

Two weeks ago at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Last Vegas, Shawn Porter handed Adrien Broner the second loss of his professional career. Porter (26-1-1, 16 KOs) had hoped to catapult himself into a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26KOs) on September 12th at the MGM Grand.
Porter's hopes were dashed when Mayweather rejected his advance and advised him to face Errol Spence on the pay-per-view undercard. Porter has no interested in fighting on the undercard, he wants Floyd in the main event.

147lb Paul Williams would have been Floyd's toughest opponent.
Even to date.
Steroid Mosley and handwrap Margarito also would have been tougher challenges than any other on Floyd's resume.Comment

Originally posted by Freedom.True. Watch Floyd avoid Kell Brook now, and fight another faded old boxer who moved up from a smaller weight division.
Maybe Floyd can talk Eric Morales out of retirement? Or perhaps he'll fight Vic Darchinyan?
Mayweather also avoids non-drained prime top non-black boxers. Floyd just HAD to be a diva and fight Canelo at that catchweight, he couldn't be a ring warrior for once in his life.
