Interesting, didn't realize his pbc fights are off ppv in Canada. Though Fonfara and Sukhotsky were Showtime and Canada ppv but who'd wanna buy that crap? Both did sorry ratings on Sho, a huge drop vs his Hbo fights prior. What's most telling is he failed to draw 5k for his last fight in boxing crazed Montreal, which is just pitiful

You cannot make a free over the air network fight PPV in Canada only. Anyone can simply hook up a basic antenna to their television and pick the broadcast up for free from any OTA US border station. With a basic antenna, I can pick up all the major US networks along with two PBS stations and Fox, along with all the Canadian stations.

In general, it takes a premium cable station to enable a PPV broadcast as HBO does not broadcast the same programming in Canada as they do in the US and Showtime is not available in Canada at all. It could also be done with ESPN or FOXSports or any other station that is not available in Canada. But not with any free, over the air network such as CBS, ABC or NBC.

I either haven't called Stevenson's move to Haymon as ducking.
I think ducking is something like Leo Santa Cruz asking not less than 3 mln. dollars for Rigondeaux fight.

Stevenson is irrelevant now. Looked poor against fonfara and fought a supermiddle in Bika in his last bout. Let's see Kovalev fought pascal and Hopkins need I say more. Stevenson ducked kovalev when he ran to his big daddy al Haymon from HBO. Further, his ratings suck. Kovalev gets almost double the ratings. Stevenson can have his cash but Kovalev will be remembered for his legacy at LH and Stevenson will be remembered as uhhhhh he will be forgotten unless he fights Kovalev.

Kinda doubt. Stevenson made more money off HBO. His numbers have been **** since he left HBO. Nobody buys his Ppv, his gate is poor his last fight apparently wasn't on Canada ppv.

I don't think Stevenson would have a shot in hell of beating Kovalev, but still hope that fight gets made.

It's so annoying Kovalev vs Stevenson isn't happening. Easily one of the best fights in boxing (even though Stevenson's stock has dropped a bit).

Stevenson isn't all that good, like top 3 good. Fonfora dropped him? Kovalev KO's him badly. Also the Boone TKO2 loss wasn't like 10 years ago, it was in 2010. It's an okay fight, don't get me wrong, but not one of the best that can be made. It's not a mismatch like Cotto vs GGG, but it's a mismatch. I think 175 is dying pretty fast, after Kovalev beat up Hopkins and Pascal, that weight class got silenced quick. Those were the two guys I wanted to see Kovalev against and he beat them both, so props to him. As a former Kovalev hater, and now have respect for him as an elite fighter, Stevenson is not on his level. But I understand since Stevenson is top 3 and has titles and a bit of a name, guys like Kovalev and possibly Ward will want to fight him.

Kovalev would be the favorite in a Stevenson fight... I feel confident Kovalev gets the KO... However, Kovalev vs Ward is possibly the most exciting fight we have in boxing right now... I'd venture to say it would be even more interesting than a Floyd/GGG fight because Ward doesn't run as well as Floyd.
