    Where, in the court room?

And yeah a Felix Sturm fight years ago would have been a big win and a big fight in Germany, add guys like N'dam, Sergio Martinez, Pirog, Froch, obviously would have been a great resume. Instead none wanted to fight him (besides Pirog). It is what it is.

      Nope when Ward was active.

Our friend, Tom Loeffler said the fight didn't make "financial sense" and that Gennady would want a "huge chunk" of money. Why? The *** had this guy done to deserve that? He's 30+years old and has done nothing yet has a sense of entitlement. At the time, Ward was drawing more ratings fighting Delvin Rodriguez in his first fight in over a year than Golovkin was drawing on HBO.

Jeff Lacy at least after 21 fights and in his mid-20s fights said "*** it" and went to England to fight Calzaghe.

Can't say asking GGG to move up 2 weight classes ridiculous.Floyd did it.A lot of posters here want him to move up more at 38,almost 20 years in the game to fight GGG.
But asking GGG to move up,wow mind blown!

Floyd moved up to fight big name fighters.

Golovkin, moving up to fight Andre Ward who has waning popularity right now? Who else could Golovkin fight that's PPV worthy? Chavez Jr and Froch don't want to fight him.

There's a big difference between the two.

It should be obvious to those with the power of eyesight that Lacy was no where near as good as Golovkin.

I think both Lara (if he doesn't run & hit) and DJ would offer a better fight for GGG than what he's been getting so far. Of course this is speculation, but I think Jacobs has the better chance to beat GGG or at least take him deep.

Outside of those two and possibly Lemieux .... Who's left???

              MW division sucks

When exactly would this fight have made sense? Golovkin just made his debut on HBO in 2012 after that Ward said Golovkin needs to build up his resume, just like how Ward would not fight Bute because he didn't "deserve" It, and then Ward went into self imposed exile for a couple years after spending one year out on the sidelines due to a shoulder injury. Fight could have never happened until right now after Wards tune up.

Lacy moved up in weight to fight Calzaghe? That's news to me. He also didn't just say "*** it" Lacy was a big favorite since Calzaghe never fought anyone good in his career people just all assumed lacy would walk through him (even though Lacy looked bad against guys like Omar Sheika).

Who cares about weight? If your weight class is full of truck drivers, then you're never going to be great. He was willing to move up for Froch or Chavez but not Ward unless he got a "huge chunk" of the money - what has he done to feel so entitled?

If he'd beaten Ward then he would have been a PPV fighter already but his team feel entitled to just be gifted a PPV fight.

I didn't even realise Golovkin was that old until recently.
