How you beat someone is as important if not more important than simply beating them. It is called FIGHTER of the year and I consider four stoppages in 22 rounds total more impressive than two decisions over 24 rounds. In fact I consider Rousey to be more impressive than either Floyd or Golovkin in the manner she wins her fights and where she stands in her particular sport. This is why I have voted a large number of times for her, a few less for GGG and not at all for anyone else.

What happened ?

The award OBVIOUSLY does not differentiate between styles.

The term " fighter " is used to include MMA.

Mayweather is a better fighter/boxer/whatever, than Golovkin.

doubt it. Floyd beat Pacquiao. Who the hell did she beat? No one anyone has heard of.

The only way she wins is if they are trying to be ultra "politically correct" and don't want to give the award to a "womanizer" while going up against a woman for the award. It would be super gay but it's actually possible now that I think of it.

Nah Ronda Rousey has lost the award to Mayweather last year too. Actually, Mayweather has won every year he was nominated. The only other two years it was given out went to Pacquiao, who Mayweather just beat. It's pretty clear who is the favorite to win the award.
