You're acting like what I proposed wasn't fair.

      LMAO!

GGG and his fans are LUCKY this isn't 15 years ago.

Bernard Hopkins would expose and humiliate a limited, stiff Euro styled boxer like GGG. Hopkins would be chomping at the bit to get his hands on a guy like that.

Kovalev couldn't even KO a 50 year old Hopkins. Imagine what a 35 year old Middleweight BHops would do to both GGG and Kovalev.

Prime Winky Wright would also easily outbox GGG.

GGG is slow and his entire offense is based on timing. Guess what.... a stiff and educated jab disrupts timing. GGG is going to look like a killer against the weak competition he's faced.

Wait until GGG fights an intelligent fighter like Ward... it's over for him.

GGG is just the flavor of the moment... he'll get "Kelly Pavlik'ed" soon enough.

I think Mayweather should win it. Beating Manny Pacqiao is more impressive than anything any MMA fighter has done in 2014. Add Canelo and Maidana to the docket and Mayweather should run away with the award.
You do understand that Mayweather did not fight Manny in 2014, Canelo either? All he did was fight Maidana TWICE. Two fights against the same guy, neither of which was anywhere close to fight of the year, do not make Floyd 'Fighter of the Year', not fighter of the past three years. Even if you add the Manny fight to the mix, it does not help at all.

Now if you want to create a category for the best fighter who has learned the elusive art of 'fighting without fighting', then Floyd will be a guaranteed winner.

Chillax guys, like I said, it's just a popularity contest. And number 1 draw in the sport might lose it to a face first, unskilled brawler.

            Or a woman.
Lol. They've been bitching and sniping like schoolgirls in a FB catspat for years here over Manny and their hero.

Now that issue is settled, they need another target.

            bitches gotta bitch...

Now females, those are the ones he beat up. Beat them, assaulted them, threatened them with ****.
Floyd has emotionally damaged you and a few other "Canelo/Pac/GGG" fans.

Floyd is the greatest fighter of his generation and has proved it over and over again.

Meanwhile we're still waiting for a 30+ year old GGG to defeat a solid B level fighter.

Floyd was fighting better competition than GGG has faced in like his 18th pro fight. Dispute that.

And Floyd and Ward are lucky that we no longer have fights that are last man standing which last 50, 30 and 40 rounds or more and where you don't win by running and holding.

Not to mention that if my aunt had balls she would be my uncle. Or Bruce 'Caitlyn' Jenner.

Maybe Wilder keeps improving his game though, time will tell.

Anyways, it's cool GGG got recognition, a lot has to do with popularity since this is the ESPYs. Obviously Floyd deserves to win though being he beat Pacquiao & Maidana I think.
Wilder's last fight was against a bum. And yea I saw his eyes roll in the back of his head from a left hook he never saw coming. I'm not high on Wilider. However, his win over Stiverne was quality. Stiverne was highly ranked in the HW Division.

GGG has not defeated a fighter on the level of Stiverne in his own division.

Once GGG does that then he'll re-evaluated.

As I have told others around here, I will bet you a minimum of 10k in real money to prove I am an alt. Get the board admins to give you all their records and I will even provide my name, address and all contact information to the admins for them to verify. You lose and you pay me 10k REAL DOLLARS. Either take the bet or SHUT THE **** UP. And if you would take Floyd's **** out of your throat, maybe you would Choke less and could change your handle to something a little more appropriate.
This post is lacking the common-sense displayed earlier.

The term " best fighter " does not reference style.

You are splitting hairs over the term " fighter ".

The term you should be focusing is " best " !

The title is obviously referring to the best fighter/boxer/whatever.

                    That is obvious man !

I didn't realize the ESPY was only for 2014. My bad. With that said though, two wins over Maidana is still better than wins over Rubio and Geale.

                      Can you agree with that?
