You're telling me that the way Dawson's career has developed, it would have enhanced Calzaghe's legacy to a degree that it was worth coming out of retirement for?
How can you say it's not worth the risk when it would be his best win? Or at the very least one of his best wins? But really it would probably be his best win. Hilarious as that is that Fad Chad would be his best win.

Calzaghe’s purse for the fight at Madison Square Garden, his first attempt at self-promotion, was largely dependent on the pay-per-view revenues from HBO.
he admitted the figures were far lower than everyone involved expected. “The pay-per-view numbers were very disappointing,” he said. “They took everyone by surprise.
so calzaghe made 10 million largely from ppv buys and they were disappointed...this means they were expecting more than 10 million to fight roy jones? the numbers don't add up at all and either does their story.
I must admit 10 million sounds unrealistic.

I have to disagree with Sir Joe CBE. Froch would take on Kovalev if it was up to him, but GGG is a useless fight. A) GGG is bent on staying at 160 B) Financially plus career wise it does f.ck all. That's because Froch would be GGG's best opponent and say Carl wins then GGG gets labelled hype job, so 0 credit and all that brain damage for nothing.
Froch's best option from a outsider's perspective is to retire. He can't up that moment against Groves. Degale would just be another young gun at this point, who imo batters him. Unless he takes on Ward and beats him, but that again isn't likely.

Yeah well worth it. LOL@ going through hard training and potential injury for Chad Dawson. It would be like saying Mayweather should come back for number 50 against Lara

Why are you putting quotation marks on best win? Are you saying it wouldn't be his best win?
It's not like Calzaghe had a iron clad legacy at that point, he shouldn't have even retired then anyway. Dawson would have enhanced his legacy regardless and like I said would more than likely have been his best win. But again, didn't esnt to risk it.
It's nothing like Mayweather fighting Lara for his 50th because Lara wouldn't even be in his top 5 best wins, Mayweather's legacy is actually set as an ATG and Mayweather has actually been fighting top level guys for close to 2 decades as opposed to two years.

Here's the interview. It was hardly meant in a mocking tone, just logical
Froch has made a lot of money, he doesn't need to fight again just like Joe didn't at the same stage in his career.
That masculine handshake at the end lol, reminds me of arnold and carl weathers in predator.

request.
"Oh wait Joe, forget your planned retirement and spending time with your family because you're never going to guess what? Chad freeaaking Dawson has only just become available! I mean he has no fans and the money is **** compared to your last fight but the "respect" you'll get for beating a guy who got ragdolled around the ring by a 40 year old Glen Johnson will be incredible. Get back in the gym and forget about your pesky hands. Those 12 people that have actually heard of Dawson will respect you until they realise he's actually quite **** and then they won't care. It's a dream scenario - how can you turn this once in a lifetime opportunity down?"
Mayweather has 5 better wins than Lara? Does he? Wouldn't say so at all.

Why was he even retiring anyway? His resume was/is terrible hence why Dawson would have been his best win.
And yes obviously Mayweather has 5 wins better than Lara. Unless we're going to overrate Lara and act like his best win isn't a shot Paul Williams or and up and down fight with Alfredo Angulo.
