The thing with Garcia is that he's done his bit as a good champion: he beat Khan and Matthysse, both of whom were supposed to destroy him. Big props to him for that. Can't take those away from him. Desperate, whiny Khan has Garcia problems, as does Matthysse.

It's just that he's done fuck-all since then. The Khan fight was more than 3 years ago, and Matthysse is coming up to 2 years. That's a lot of time in boxing. His star is falling rapidly with shitty performances against Herrera and Peterson, and let's not even go there with Salka...

So that means Garcia has Herrera and Peterson problems. I'd like for Khan to try and erase his Garcia problem, whether before or after Garcia erases his Herrera problem. Lot of work to be done before either of them (Garcia and Khan) gets Da Love.

Danny has squandered the respect he earned up to and through the Matthysee fight. If he wants the love, he's got to earn it back. Call me crazy, but I don't think a fight with Paulie is going to do that...unless he wins by knockout and only takes a few months off before coming back against a serious opponent.

He can get back on track. It's up to him.

And yea -- like many others have said, his dad should shut up and let Danny shine in the spotlight.

Yup a win over Broner would of done wonders to repair Garcia's image. That was the most natural fight and the one people been asking for over a year. Both guys were too big for 140 but didn't really want to jump both feet into 147. A catchweight would not of hurt either guy. Perfect fight for Garcia to look good in. Instead Haymon wanted to keep both Broner and Garcia on the winning streak that's why he decided to put each guy in different fights. No doubt Haymon's match making has hurt Garcia the last 2 years.

Instead Garcia is in a no win situation with Paulie. If he beats him nobody will care too much since Paulie is not that good and already got destroyed his last fight. But if he struggles or somehow loses this fight his stock drops even more.

I always said Garcia and Broner shouldve fought 2-3 fights already maybe given us great fights and wars and both fighters wouldve been better off, more loved respected, and better boxers but thats not the haymon snake it till you make it way. Now you got broner who is damaged goods and damn near a stepping stone and garcia who nobody likes and who is basically on peter quillins level
