I am surprised it did that well tbh.

    1. Its Andre Ward
    2. He was fighting Paul Smith

Cotto vacate that belt yet? Tell that pretender he needs to pay if he wants to keep pretending.

Sports is something networks pay a lot of money for in TV deals which is always my point in talking to you, that is how it works because people have to watch live. I suppose Battlebots could be considered a sport~ and maybe it does better than boxing long run who knows then both will have TV deals~

It has to be the right sport. I don't see DARTS with a network deal. Or badminton. Ping pong isn't there either. Don't even see bowling on a regular basis anymore and more people belong to bowling leagues than have ever so much as visited a boxing gym.

Not all sports are created equal and not all sports are suitable to get a network deal.

Haha me too, saw a commercial for it just now, I used to love those robots when I was a kid.

As for Ward's ratings what is there to say, they are pretty bad.

Isn't that what Fraud built himself up with? Werent' his quotes "If it don't make dollars it don't make sense(Cents)" And FloStans ate it up.

Now that the tables are turned, FloStans want GGG to make the fight happen. GTFO.

You claim Ward's the 2nd or 3rd best fighter in the world, then why pick on smaller guys? Ward needs to fight Kovalev anyway. He's a light heavyweight. He needs to sack up and fight him if he and his fans think he's the best out there in and around that weight division.
GGG needs to prove his p4p ranking is deserved. Fighting and defeating Ward does this.

GGG said he would fight anyone from 154-168, He isn't being picked on.

GGG is the a-side so it doesn't matter what Ward sells.

HBO will not make the fight happen unless Ward is willing to take B side money. If not, the fight will wait until Ward raises his marketability to PPV level which may never happen at all. Ward may find himself relegated to fighting on BET time buys against the Paul Smiths of the boxing world until his contract is over and Roc Nation writes him off as a business loss.
We know he is better than GGG and that he has accomplished more than GGG. So have him fight GGG, so they BOTH have a chance to PROVE themselves to anyone who doubts them.

GGG can easily make this fight if its something he wants to do. He is the a side without question. Go to HBO and demand they get him Ward. Not really complicated.

My guess is GGG will copy the "Mexican style" and beat 75 cab drivers/bums before fighting anyone real.

So why doesn't GGG (whos been begging for PPV fights vs cotto, canelo, floyd, froch & chavez jr) just fight ward and get it over with???

Oh say what theres not enough money? GGG is the "A" side? He brings the fans? He brings the "excitement"?

They can fight Ward on PPV. It'll be GGG & Ward's 1st ppv.

"ward wants too much money doe"

Oh so its about money then the whole time? Not that they want to show who's the best right?

"You dont say that for Cotto doe. He got the belt doe. He a coward fight GGG waaahhhh waaaahhhh waaaahhh"

Take ya choice... money or glory

as opposed to needing two fights to get a decisive win over george groves?

rodriguez and groves are a similar caliber of opponent. froch needed a rematch.

It matters what Ward sells because he will be the one demanding a purse easily over 2-3 million. Do you not understand that?

Ward said he'd move to 175 a while ago. I also remember him saying "If I beat Kovalev, then what?".

That "pretender" just beat GGG's "best" opponent.

go lick your salty wounds. The fight will come after the Canelo fight.

Also funny how the "pretender" is in his 4th weight class, fought everybody there is to fight, but he's a "coward" for not fighting GGG as soon as YA want him to.
