He's scared to death of Ward and Golovkin fighting and it shows in how much time he dedicates to hating on Ward. If he had faith in Golovkin's ability, like I do, he'd really want to see a Ward fight rather than desperately argue against it.
Groves and Degale, two fighters who are worse than Ward and much greener dismantled him in less rounds and in much more dramatic fashion. Degale in his 9th fight knocked him out in the 9th round. Groves in his 14th fight knocked him out in 2 rounds. I'm not saying Ward should retire, but let's be honest, Paul Smith is absolutely terrible and Ward should have tried to make a better statement against an opponent with two straight losses in an attempt to keep his career alive.

What the **** are you talking about? It literally has nothing to do at all with the topic of this thread, but it is good to see I am on your mind though~

Sports is something networks pay a lot of money for in TV deals which is always my point in talking to you, that is how it works because people have to watch live. I suppose Battlebots could be considered a sport~ and maybe it does better than boxing long run who knows then both will have TV deals~

We know Ward is one of the 2 or 3 best fighters in the world. We know GGG said he would fight anyone from 154-168. We know Cotto and Canelo are not going to fight GGG this year.

A sides make fights happen so why doesn't GGG, the A side, just go to HBO and ask them to make the Ward fight happen?

We have no idea if Ward is still one of the best fighters in the game. He certainly showed no indication of that on Saturday. A top fighter would have had an out of shape, overweight, Smith out of there in 3 rounds tops. Not 9.

HBO will not make the fight happen unless Ward is willing to take B side money. If not, the fight will wait until Ward raises his marketability to PPV level which may never happen at all. Ward may find himself relegated to fighting on BET time buys against the Paul Smiths of the boxing world until his contract is over and Roc Nation writes him off as a business loss.

I want Ward/Golovkin, sooner than later. If it goes much later Golovkin's going to towards the end of his physical prime and he's already giving up size & speed. Currently I believe GGG beats SOG in a nasty fight that resembles more so the Bika fight, except Golovkin's punches will have a harsher effect. But Ward like Golokvin needs to increase his market value in order to make the economics feasible.

RN is trying the right thing getting Ward back on non-premium tv, but BET is too limited and 10pm on Saturday with other fights going on didn't help. Hopefully they tweak their approach for the next tune-up and maybe try a week night closer to prime time with a better name.

We get it. Andre Ward doesn't draw fans to the tv. Thus, this being the reason why ggg shouldn't fight him. We'd rather watch, or not watch him, vs guys like geale, monroe, adama, rosado etc etc. Tier 1 tv ratings guys.

It actually is considered a "sport" and back in the day was pretty cool.
