people seem to forget some stuff when they talk about me and virg.

after ward pulled out of the pavlik fight with a shoulder injury in sparring, pavlik pulled out of a tentative postponement by retiring.

ward's one of the only fighters on the planet who would catch an earful for a legitimate injury [later required surgery,] and kelly pavlik losing his mind and retiring.

    • and i think this is crap, for the record.

there's the golovkin fight at 168, and no other massive fights. golovkin looks like he's trying to stay at middleweight and hope for a shot at cotto, canelo. he's even expressed interest in mayweather at 154

froch - ward 2 is not going to happen. it's too rich for regular american TV, unless they play second fiddle on the broadcast. it's not an american PPV. it's a big fight, and i'd pay for it, but the american audience isn't going to pay for a rematch of such an uncompetitive fight. i nkow i joke a lot about this, but the brits forget what happened in that fight. americans certainly don't. froch doesn't deserve a rematch, ceratinly not for $70 on ppv.

ward - kovalev, if promototed properly, is one of the most significant fihts in boxing. the winner of that fight would be sky high on the p4p list. it was really staring to sound like it was going ot happen.

i don't think it's an american PPV, sadly, and they've got a ceiling for how much they could pay for that fight on hbo.

168 may be most realistic. i don't know what the conversations sound like with the networks, and how much they're willing to shell out.

still, in a perfect world, ward fights one more time, preferably at 175 against a decent fighter, to tune up. then, he fights kovalev at the full 175 limit. winner is a top 3 p4p fighter.

Because I was talking to someone who has pulled the race card themselves on numerous occasions. You telling me you haven't noticed that?

Fighting DeGale I suppose would be alright. I don't think Steiglitz is leaving Germany but I suppose it could happen.

That would buy time in hopes Golovkin gets tired of being jerked around at 160.
          Become undisputed champ at 168.

I remember very well what happened in that fight. Froch was fighting away from home for the 4th successive time in the super 6 tournament, including an absolute war against Kessler in Denmark. Despite looking a little tired and jaded as a result, Froch pushed Ward hard and was looking the stronger of the 2 in the final round.

Afterwards, Froch destroyed Bute, who Ward had refused to fight, avenged his defeat to Kessler and ruled the SM division while Ward remained inactive, becoming a bigger draw and a bigger name worldwide than Ward had ever been.

Froch definitely deserves a rematch with Ward and he deserves it on his terms, this time, or not at all.

... you know well that this is not the case -- if you guy wants it, they can fight even this year.

Ward has made mention of one day challenging for the heavyweight championship of the world, in the right fight (a la Roy Jones Jr challenging John Ruiz), but that's about it.

Golovkin has been up **** creek because of his team running at the mouth; don't try and deflect the heat now.
Of course you're going to call bull****, you're scared for Andre's life. There is quite a few articles you could find, you could have googled searched without waiting for me. I found this one in a matter of seconds: http://www.boxing .com/andre_ward_i_can_beat_a_klitschko.html and this one: http://www.thesweet science.com/columnists/rick-folstad/7547-virgil-hunter-andre-ward-will-be-heavyweight-champ
The sources may not seem reliable, but I remember there was videos as well. Unfortunately, I can't look for them right now.
Ward's team have also ran their mouth but it's been so long ago (due to his inactivity), that people like you seem to forget.

                • Cool.

DeGale, Groves, Dirrells, Jack, and few others if he wants before moving up to 175. Some big fights there

                  • Ward is scared to be a truly great fighter and it's a shame because he has a lot of talent. He won't be remembered like Mayweather and Pacquiao, not only because he isn't quite as good as them but because he's wasted a lot of his potential. I'm sorry but facing Paul Smith and Edwin Rodriguez shows his character. He wants to take the easy route and it makes his heart questionable in my view. He faced legit fighters in the super six because that was a brilliant opportunity for an up and comer but now he's an established fighter he's not taking on any challenges. He's wasting his career with tune ups and showcase fights. Fight the best, you don't need tune ups just get it done with sparring. Chad Dawson doesn't even count as a decent win since he's a massive LHW and Ward made him come down to super mid. Not only that but Chad was past his best. Ward can easily fight at 175 and take on Kovalev. If he was willing to truly challenge himself and put himself at risk he'd do that because great fighters in the modern era can move up in weight. I've lost a lot of respect for Ward as he's just wasted his career. He wants everyone to dance to his tune and come to his weight but won't move up and challenge himself, even though he can't draw flies to ****.

Ward beat him 118-110 or so with one arm. Period. You can spin it as you want but these are the facts.
Ward has nothing to prove against Froch. Froch got bullied and beaten up on that fight you can't even say the favourite excuses in this case like Oakland and dirty fighting. Froch just got a backed up and bullied and if he tried to go forward he got countered. Froch is a really good fighter and I respect his toughness and his resume but he just got beaten by a better fighter. That's it.
