      • After watching ward fight and seeing the weigh in....I seriously doubt whether he can make 168 again......was not an ounce of fat on ward at the weigh in.....and he was still 4lb over 168......very difficult to lose 4lb when you have almost zero fat at 172.....seems like to me he don't want to enter the Devils playground at 175 where the demons are waiting for him

Golovkin has Canelo vs Cotto winner, Andy Lee, Lemieux, Billie Joe Saunders... The first is an elite opponent worth to waiting for, no doubt, but the other three are nothing worth to wait for...
Ward can fight Degale, Groves, Stieg vs Abraham winner and possibly Golovkin a little later. If he goes up to 175, he has Kovalev, Pascal and Chilemba probably.
So I'm okay with neither of them going up right now but I would like to see both of them going up in one-one and a half year and most importantly I want to see them against each other.
So Canelo/Cotto are elite for GGG (Lemieux isn't ) while Ward has DeGale, Groves, Abraham/Stieglitz.

          Lol.

Do you think that any of those so-called elite opponents for Ward brings in big Money for Ward in the US or are you in reality suggesting that Ward wants to travel?

Come on man. Big Money for Ward is Kovalev or Stevenson which would both happen in North America.

For the record, I'm fine with both Ward and GGG staying put, but that''s another matter. Now I'm looking for your strange reasoning.

          • But there is no unfinished business at 168 FFS. There's no1 to fight.

Ward made $2m for the Paul Smith fight (plus whatever else he picked up from his sponsorships).

Golovkin is just getting to the point where HBO is willing to back an entire show for him with $2m, let alone any talk of Golovkin himself getting $2m.

If Golovkin doesn't get Canelo or Cotto, where is his ****ing payday? Because Ward is likely going to get at least $2m for his next fight, and the one after that, and the one after that.

Pull the Haymon names for now (Chavez/Dirrells/Jack), but yeah; Ward has a good handfull of solid fights that he can work through, while Golovkin is merely sitting around.

For Wembley or O2(with a favorable share of the money), I don't see why not. Was ready to go to London for Froch II.

They are all just possible fights. Like GGG vs Cotto, Canelo, Lemieux, Lee, BJS, Quillin and Eubank Jr at 160.
Cotto's not fight Golovkin, Oscar has openly said that Canelo is two years away from considering Golovkin, Lemieux in Montreal can draw plenty fine without Golovkin, and Lee/Saunders/Eubank Jr can likely make twice the money just battling each other than bothering with Golovkin.

Oh yeah, Quillin is also with Haymon, apparently persona non grata with HBO.

Andre Ward, rather comfortably, has 4-5 fights with no active barriers to making available to him. Golovkin does not

Name those 4-5 fights with no active barriers.
