This isn't about whether Golovkin goes to 154 or not. He has already stated several times that he will do it to fight Mayweather.

This is about Floyd Sr asking for a rehydration clause after the weigh-in. Did they ask for one against Oscar, Cotto or Canelo at 154?

None of those guys were fighting @ 160 before fighting Floyd. Oscar was 155 when he fought B-Hop for the MW title.

Floyd doesn't need this fight but that whole ward bull**** is hypocritical. Ya'll complaining about Floyd having to fight moving up to a division six pounds heavier than the highest he's fought, while bashing another dude for not going up 8 pounds and fighting Ward. De La Hoya looked so vulnerable against the light-hitting Sturm, the World Boxing Organization champion from Germany, that no one could blame him for changing his mind about a possible $30 million payday for fear of what the real 160-pound champion, Hopkins, could do to him.

I'm well aware of the history but you said none of them had fought at 160 before.

Come on, we know why the rehydration clause stipulation is being put out there. Because Golovkin isn't a past prime fighter like Oscar or Cotto.

We know why the catchweight was made for Canelo too.

I don't particularly expect or care if Floyd fights GGG or not but the excuses are not there. Floyd has fought at the 154 limit and if a fighter can make it, then why shouldn't he fight them?
