Huh?! Ward moved up AWAY to an Imaginary weight class. That says it all.

Ward has yet to face an Elite or Great fighter. Froch and Kessler
were B-levels. He's never fought a P4P type talent before.

Not an impressive win considering both degale and groves done a better job on a younger and in shape smith than the so called "SOG".

The point of a tuneup is to get some rounds of work in and knock off any rust that might have accumulated.

Ward did just that and closed the show in punishing fashion too. Good to see.

I have one statement for Ward who never left the country in the Super Tourney 8: TAKE THE TEST!

Given the sad, sad condition in which Paul Smith chose to enter the ring, I can't see how any assessment of Andre Ward's pugilistic fitness could be determined by this fight. It was as if Paul Smith was not a ranked super middleweight, but instead was the beaten fighter in a toughman competition.

And here's the biggest idiot on the whole site. How many times has Roy been KO'ed now????

Kessler is certifiable Elite. Daniel Geale and Martin Murray however are c level fighters. You are a joke and I bet a little sissy. You spew absolute nonsense and no one takes your opinion seriously. You are irrelevant.

You cannot seriously believe that Smith was a Golovkin level opponent - either that or you have next to no ability to assess fighters. At best, this fight was waste of Ward's time.

I only caught the first couple of rounds as i turned over to watch Lemieux-N`Dam.
                  Seemed to go as expected.

I remember Smith's facing cutting up against Dodson a few years back. Mick Williamson did a great job in the corner that night.

Iots of talk of GGG. I'm not too hot on that fight..i'd prefer to see a Kovalev fight.

Ha ha ha, thanks man for that! I needed a good laugh thanks for the comedic relief! Ward couldn't scare children even if he was wearing a Freddy Krueger mask and jumped out of an alley! I'm sure GGG is shaking in his shoes from laughing so hard! Ward showed nothing but what was expected of him versus a D-level opponent. Not for nothing Ward but stop calling for the a guy 2 weight divisions below you to come up and fight you and this new weight class you created, Super Middle Heavy Mega Douche Weight! Grow some balls already Ward and fight Kovalev at the weight class you should be fighting in, but he won't, why you ask, because Kovalev can't be railroaded into fighting in Oakland so Ward would actually have to leave the comforts of home and risk an a s s whooping on neutral ground!
