Margarito got banned, Tito didn't that's about all that matters. BUT, Tito stacked the HELL out of his hands with tape this is fact. Contrary to peasant, I think it's safe to be a little questionable about Tito's power to an extent but it really doesn't do anything to negatively impact his career like Margs.

Tito had Vegas-wraps in NYC. Both Manny AND Margarito had tape on skin ala vegas when they fought each other. NONE of them showed Tito power.

Manny didn't KO Marg's but he destroyed his eyeball in round 4 and people questioned his wraps in that fight. I'm glad he broke Margarito with suspect wraps I.E. twisting the tape between the fingers. What goes around comes around b*tch, that's how I feel about that. But, it's safe to say Roach stretched the rules there too.

All this means is just have ****m check the opponents wraps, I'd hire him just for that. And I love that Cotto did in the rematch lol.

Not much of a controversy. It was just the way they were wrapped was not to New York commission spec. All boxers use wraps. however apparently the way they were wrapped was the issue. There was never an accusation that other materials were used or weighted etc ala margarito. I cant get into the details of how one wraps a hand. not a boxer . But a wrap is a wrap. Only so many ways to wrap a hand and how much gauze one can use. My only recollection was that they were wrapped a bit to tight. Whatever. Hope other chime in.

The purpose of wrapping the hands is to protect the hands. Vargas is making excuses. Yes Trinidad hit extremely hard and it probably did feel like getting hit with a bat. That's because Trinidad is a great puncher naturally. There was no hard substance in the wraps or anything that got hard. That's just BS started by haters. He had to rewrap his hands using a little less tape. Big fucing deal.
